JM, I’m really appalled by this but not surprised. I lost my respect for the Police a long time ago and although I do agree with some of BillyBob’s sentiments, they are not applicable to Australia for the most part. Anyway, there is a clear distinction between a man in his sixties doing his wanna be tech job and a crack head/alcoholic. If you can’t tell the difference, your ‘spidy sense’ is all out of wack and you need time out from the job. I live in the CBD of Melbourne and deal with crack heads, drunks, homeless people on a daily basis and most of them are ok if you don’t approach them aggressively. Sure, cops need to be aggressive when danger is apparent but JM is about as dangerous as a girl guide knocking on your door asking to buy the cookies. Good luck and don’t give up the fight. But having said that, we all know you won’t. If JM wasn’t an elderly white man, it would already headline the 6pm news
All good comments. I've often said of todays Police, some of them can could have gone ether way , law enforcement or the criminals
Hi JM, Wishing you a speedy recovery. Reading your story I was in disbelief that this happened in our beautiful Australia but it did and I am appalled. Not all the Police are bad but we dont know who the aholes are so best to always shut up and not give them excuses to abuse their power. If you were in Sydney I could recommend some Barristers but I don't know anyone in Qld to recommend. Do stay on FChat (will help you pass some time but stay away from the F1 section as you have and as many of us have been doing) I enjoy reading your posts and when your next down in Sydney let George know and we can catch up.
G'day mate, if you know that crazy man George you must be a marginal lunatic as well I'm coming to Sydney when they open the border because I need to see my 2 beautiful daughters and grandkids so it would be nice to catch up with other crazies like me and George Thanks for the nice words and the situation is in good hands legally Cheers JM
I think PP has a pretty good win/loss record - I believe it has to do with his non-confrontational style...
OH WOW just came across this John. Deeply sorry and upset with what you went through. This is not the Australia we know nor should it happen but unfortunately there is always some bad 'up' themselves cops in the force. The power they have gets to their head and they use it as much as they wish. They need to be held accountable and therefore you need to go after them so they get what they deserve. In the meantime rest up and let your wounds heal. Ill call you later today and when you are next down let us know and we can get the boys together for some breaky, lunch or dinner. You take care and talk soon.
Can't we do a breaky run which then takes us into lunch and then come back in time for JM to have his afternoon nana nap and then head out for dinner? Plus you can show JM how well the Pista handles when you run his recommended 18 psi air pressure in the tyres.
No need to bring the Toyota you can have your nana nap in the boot of the 599. I will drive sedately for you ..... promise . Read carefully I did say sedately not sedated.
Mate I'm having nana naps all the time lately, body sleeping so it can repair itself but I think a 599 may be too old for me to sleep in But I must say, a V12 is a thing of beauty and I can't wait until I'm old enough to have one to drive gently to the cafe for a flat white
Just catching up with the thread now. If you're getting arrested just to post on Fchat, imagine what PP must be going thru You should of used your wog card at this point.
This will be an interesting month, I didn't know the police were allowed to call you by your first name ...... sign of disrespect for an elderly citizen I would have thought ?
