Just posted on FB by Pierre Lemounier whom I have known since the 80's, an extremely rare photo of AM120-044 the only celeste/black K sold in France.

It is shown here at Thepenier, the then French importer in StCloud a suburb to the west of Paris.

The other photos show I saw it in about 2011 in Antibes, south of France, alas....

It was destroyed almost new, at 1500kms, hit a wall, the owner's son had a broken leg. It then lingered for several decades like that.

It was soon after I saw sold for parts to someone in Corsica restoring another. Note the unique rear shelf replacing the "dwarf" rear seats. Only time I have seen such a special order.

I like that feature. The rear seats are much too small to be useful to anyone but small children.

I always say they are for dwarves being punished...but a few times in my K or other people's I have seen various thin pretty girls make themselves comfortable sideways in the back -one at a time- and it looks very glamorous...such as when I took one to pick up her hubby at Ft Lauderdale airport or another time when one looked really good back there all dolled up...but punctured the leather around the rear speakers with her heels!

A black “rat-rod” Khamsin in Vancouver was discussed on this thread in 2014: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/143111006/
Apparently it has been indentified as #1068, see Enrico’s Registro Fotografico: http://www.maserati-indy.co.uk/ABCD-ENRICO_ALFIERI_Maserati_Khamsin_Register.htm.

#1068 is also on the list of sold cars at Bobileff, listed as red-black: https://www.bobileff.com/copy-of-parts-2

I’ve seen photos of a red Khamsin in Vancouver, like this photo, in 2013: https://www.flickr.com/photos/dylankingphotography/8525794821/
Maybe that’s how the rat rod looked before it was transformed (in 2014?).

Does anyone know if that red Khamsin in Vancouver is also #1068?

Hm...did not know Enrico had that up, quite a few of my photos there with some mistakes 044 is the pale blue crashed car, not 196. The car labelled as 103 (a chassis number that does not exist) is 226 in Argentina. I need to go through the whole list, no time today.

Yes 1068 is the car you refer to, red in almost derelict condition then matt black with or without rear wing.

    Hi Marc...

Yes, I think there are a few mistakes in Enrico's information... My Khamsin, 1120, is not red, it is silver...
Maybe there is another 1120 running around!!!! :)

What is the best way to reach Enrico? Is it through his website?

    Hello Mike

must be a transcription, the red car should read 1200 not 1120
and I believe a similar mistake was made for 308, that should read 208

on the other hand I was not aware yet of the car with VIN 258, can somebody confirm ?

    Roger

    Hello Mike, Roger, AMLC:

I have this email address for Henry Pedder, founder of Enrico's Maserati pages. Say hello for me. I have to get out the door to inspect a macchina, but why don't you collate a list of errors here before writing him? I will add mine late tonight or tomorrow. Some of the photos are 20 years obsolete. 1208 also burned to the ground in Colorado and 409 has not been butter yellow since the last ice age. FYI one day I will put all cars on my site as some might remember I had started to do so when it was US based back in the mid 2000's. Just a matter of time needed and paying my webmaster. I need to update my site anyway.

These could be on that list I think, although there are also some questions:

    Khamsin - #AM120*072*

Isn´t the car on the photo #1156?

    Khamsin - #AM120*110*
The photo on the left is #190 when it was for sale at Thiesen
The (interior) photo on the right is a Ghibli

    Khamsin - #AM120*196*
    Photos are of #044

    Khamsin - #AM120*258*
    Photos are of #1258

    Khamsin - #AM120*308*
    Photos are of #208

    Khamsin - #AM120*316*
Do not know these photos, but could indeed be #316?

    Khamsin - #AM120*377*
Are we sure that the BTU car is #377?

    Khamsin - #AM120*US*1120*
    Photos are of #1200

    Khamsin - #AM120*US*1160*
    Car is ready, blue metallic

Ok went through the error list, it is correct, complete with some remarks and one addition.

110; not sure if the car shown on left is 110 but perhaps you know that that dealer cleaned it up after the auction, removing the extra headlights and the paint stickers?

264 is correct, I saw in Italy November 2014, it stank of mold and the velours seats seemed to have been eaten by termites, it later sold to a dealer collector in Munich who was going to restore it.

313 not sure as it is supposed to be in the Hellenic Motor museum in Greece and that track photo looks quite recent...

One more error to add to the list: the car shown as 1180 is in fact 1160, fly yellow blue interior, wooden wheel which was in Illinois. Ivan and I sold it to Achim in Germany in 2010 and he did a superb job restoring it in dark blue.

Now a fresh trick question, photo kindly provided by Pierre Le Mounier, taken by him in the parking lot at the Dijon circuit during the French GP race weekend in June, July 1979. I think this Neuchatel (Switzerland) pair are 282 and 288 both sold new to Switzerland. Your thoughts Roger, AMLC?

...Wow.... not a lot of car towing that big trailer. The Khamsin weighs about the same as my Volvo V70R and that wagon looks smaller.. plus has the trailer weight. Hope it has good or assisted trailer brakes!

Richard: very light alloy trailer, optical illusion that is a big Skoda station wagon. Of course not as big as the road Godzillas you have in north America but plenty big and heavy enough, plus he is an engineer he knows to think of such things.

Joe: more photos of 1160 ready: his trip down to Italy to the Mille Miglia 2018. Restored AND driven:)

Ah a Greek magazine test drive article great find an yes it has its UK number plate still at rear, 3200KR is 313, you are right great find.

Here photos of it in the museum.

By the way none of the museums in Germany and Austria ever responded to my emails (in proper polite German) and I also wrote to the German lawyer who owns this blue car last week, hopefully he will respond.

That's too bad, maybe the museums are closed and there's no one to answer these emails.

I've sent the error list by email to Enrico, and told him that we discussed his Registro on the Khamsin thread at Ferrarichat.

I can't identify the two cars in Dijon, they appear to be identical but with mirrors that are different from the ones we've seen on #282 and #288. But mirrors can be replaced of course. .

Great picture of these two Swiss Khamsins !

identical colour then (288 must have been resprayed in a slightly darker hue later) and identical fog/driving lights behind the grill, quite distinctif.
They must be the two cars living next to each other at one time in that small village of Cormoret (500 inhabitants) together with 3 other Khamsins,
    all belonging to different people.

I have other photos of these cars, but cannot always pinpoint which is which. I know from Mr Elsig of Galantica Collection, that he sold several Khamsins
over the years, unfortunately he did not disclose any details. Some pictures are from older adverts of his. I think they are of 288.
The last picture is from the 2004 Raid Suisse Paris, I think of 282, already with the two california rear view mirrors.
