    henry catchpole did a sneak review of new gt3 with andreas pruninger on www.carfection.com youtube channel. its going to be a big winner. serious aero with swan neck wing, big diffuser, and a regular shifter in the center console vs the weird razor in regular 992. no heavier than 991. didnt say how much hp but promised it would sound good despite mandatory gpf. and stick shift available.

    i had a 997.1 gt3 from new that i really did not enjoy. 4 yrs, 40k miles, daily driven, 30 track days. great steering and sound but that was it. uncomfortable on street and treacherous on track. clutch too heavy and ride too stiff. coolant hose broke on track sending me into a crazy spin. lsd went causing instability when even braking in straight line. stranded me far from home too. havent had a desire for another gt porsche since then but this one is very intriguing. wonder what the $ will be, $200k with options and adm?

    harris' vid was better than henry's, IMO
    more of a geek-out all things GT3

    I just can't get over that it's bigger.
    tech and specs be damned.

    It had to get bigger because 992 its based on is bigger than 991. But it still weighs the same though

    Double-wishbone front suspension for the first time in a road going 911 is really the biggest story here. That's absolutely huge, both ride quality and handling will gain a big advantage there vs. the old MacPherson struts...

    I have a 2018 GT3 with manual tranny and adore it.
    I watched Harris’s video of 992 GT3 and immediately emailed my sales rep...he put me on list for allocation...will try to pin him down more on Monday (I’d love to get a PTS spot)! :)

    If the 992 causes any meaningful decline in 991.2 prices (not looking for anything too much but 7-10%) I’m getting one. They’re a deal right now and they’ll be an insane deal in that case.

    There aren’t many details available yet... but probably similar to my 991 GT3: Clubsport, PCCB. I love the blue color from the video... apparently that’s going to be the launch color and would probably go for that.
