Hi all. Please advice your valuation/remarks for this 2018 Ferrari 488 GTB. https://southbay.ferraridealers.com/en_us/search-used-ferrari/2018/ferrari/488_gtb/2018_ferrari_488_gtb-ferrari_south_bay-ZFF79ALA4J0235292 2018 Ferrari 488 GTB 14,242 miles has suspension lifter warranty expires 8/7/2021 (I plan on purchasing the 4+5 extended warranty). List price: $229,000 1. I would like to begin my offer at $208,000. Is that reasonable? What is your price value for this vehicle? 2. Please list any discrepancies you see in this vehicle. Thanks!!
I would just say one thing . Negotiate the price then when you cant go any lower and your 100% to purchase make them to throw in th 2 extra years FULL WARRANTEE There are many 488 GTB fors sale your way , is this what you really like or are you chasing a price ?
Better than sitting for months on end or a year like so many do. Rather have a car that is driven and maintained than one that just sits and rots
Take this for what its worth. When I bought my 458 I had a “system” in place based on 458 depreciation for miles and year of manufacture presented on YouTube by four wheel trader. When that system was applied I found that most dealers would be 10-15% above what my idea of value was, based on how some dealers valued desirable options. There is a video on the 488 from August that may provide some insight. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Oh I’m Not saying the miles is too much. Good on the driver for driving the car. Just saying asking price is a bit high for a bigh mile car. FWIW there is nothing wrong with a car with buying a car with 14k miles. Nothing.
Oh Ferrari’s can’t be driven ...they must fall apart after a few thousand miles. If the car was maintained and interior and exterior is spotless clean.... driving a Ferrari or any car 4-5k miles a year is nothing. 14k miles on a Porsche isn’t frowned upon.
Price seems on the higher end for a model that proves that many current Ferraris can and do depreciate heavily. That being said, if it ticks all the right boxes for you, at this level several thousand should not be a deal breaker if you know that going in. Do your homework on comparable cars and set your max price. If they will not make the deal happen, move on.
I say the mileage and the color make this look like a car that should be advertised at $215k May the Horse be with you
I'm currently looking for a 488 as well and have done lots of research. Just base on the market and the options on that car, mid 110s would be a good deal.... Appreciate any input from current owners if there are things of importance a new 488 buyer should be aware of... looking mostly for track use.
