I'll be back in California soon, relocating closer to Amanda's boys. New doctors, new therapists, new old house. Not sure this is a phase, but I appreciate the kind thoughts.
Can't you read? Quit being so argumentative. I have said everything in my 2 posts you have alleged that I didn't say in your allegations. Not trying to argue with you. Chill brother!
The woman's allegations against the dispensary may or may not be true. My point is that the woman has implicated herself in obtaining the medical marijuana improperly and that the dispensary might be a co-conspirator if procedures were not followed to a "T," no matter how many disclaimers the dispensary may try to hide behind. Her story reported in the press seems fishy. I'm looking at this thru the lens of a medical issue rather than a social or recreational issue. I'm not a California resident, so I don't have any feeling as to how well the public is protected by fallout from medical marijuana abuse, but I suspect there are some laws on the books. It may be well to check the regulations and review the transcript of the trial to confirm what the woman actually said. If not for yourself, for Amanda's boys. Hoping that the next chapter in your life is an improving one!
Best wishes Jon! Nothing like family and a little sunshine. kind thoughts and warm fuzziness all over.
I am glad to hear this news....I was briefly in touch with Amanda's sister to offer the skills of our members, in regards to the boys. I hope things will work out for you to be who they knew YOU to be.... Cal Fullerton in the news again, this week...murder and mayhem.
Hi Jon, Just thought I would check in, say hi, and see how everything is going with you during these crazy times.
Thanks Rosey. I'm back in California since September, currently undergoing neurologic evaluation/treatment at UC San Diego. Hoping to see some improvement as a result... trying to be realistic in my expectations. I now have a temporary drivers/learner permit from CA, expires in January. I can drive, accompanied by an instructor, with a few modifications for handicapped. I still can't cover much distance otherwise without my motorized wheel chair, but if the docs can tweak some of my wiring I may (fingers crossed) be able to walk again. I was somewhat limited in my mobility even pre-Covid, so it feels like everyone adopted my lifestyle. I still watch Harry's Garage on YouTube, and check in here occasionally. Definitely miss the car hobby every day, because my bookshelves are jammed with car literature and I still have a few trophies about the house. Anyone staring at a Ferrari in his garage, keeping the miles off ... go drive it now and enjoy. Maybe someday I'll be back. Drivers rehab specialist was trying to sway me toward a modified van that accommodates a wheel chair. Not in this lifetime.
Hi Jon! It’s really good to hear or read your post here, man we miss you, glad to hear that some how you’re able to go behind the wheel again. It’s just a matter of time Jon. You know when you’re ready for another 3x8, we are here to help and support you. Oh and yes, at least for me, I try to drive mine as much as can, it’s so much better than staring at it.
Good sentiment Jon! Could something like FBB's idea in Post #1200 work for you? Esp with todays' paddle shifters? Keep posting!

Glad to hear you are staying safe, improving little by little and regaining some lost freedoms. Harry's Garage is great, but I think Ian Tyrells Workshop spin off channel is even more informative. You've inspired me to fire up the 328 this week and give her a run (rain dependant since it's bloody cold here in Melbourne). Don't be a stranger, love to hear you chime in every now and again on all things 3X8. Cheers
Currently I need a steering knob, turn signal crossover lever, and one additional side view mirror -- all can be added to any car, but definitely need an automatic or dual clutch with auto setting. Hopefully future treatment can alleviate some of these impairments.
A necker knob! Way cool! ....back in the day....... View attachment 2978619 Could be very cool on a 308 wheel......should look for one with a prancing horse maybe.....
Great to see you up and about (so to speak). It's been a long time to get this far, but you are making progress. Still praying for you, Jon.
I'm sending thoughts his way all the time.... Happy Holidays Jon. My replacement Ducati came out of Hollywood, low miles! I put fresh tires on and been working on that. 2021 is going to be great. We gonna make it so!!
Thanks, all. It was a quiet Thanksgiving due to Covid, but relaxing. Still working with the DMV to get my license reinstated, even with the expected restrictions due to special controls I'd need. I've been watching the Magnum PI reboot and both Ferraris look perfect right now...
Well Jon... its been a crappy year but this post just made it all better. We truly have something now to be thankful for. Wishing you the best as always.
Hi Jon - not sure if you remember me but we had lunch when you came to Denver back in maybe 2006? and you gave me a copy of your book before it was published. Glad to see you getting active again. I would love to meet up again sometime.
I remember - FoD was servicing your gorgeous, newly bought 355. I was out there to test drive a blu chiaro 328. Good times. I ended up buying a different 328 from Sport Auto in NC, but Bill Orth at FoD was a pleasure to deal with. I'm not traveling much these days, but if you're in southern CA definitely drop me a note.
