Try to justify it anyway you want but it isn’t an “homage” when it says “Rolex” on it; that sir is a counterfeit fake.

Sorry to be flippant but a fake is a fake. This is what I have on today. I cant wrap my head around spending 20k on a tool watch to beat it up. This has a very nice vintage as movement and looks the part but has a different name and look to dial. Just my 2 cents in a world where pennies are irrelevant. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Nice. See? That is a true homage to an Explorer. Honest piece not pretending to be something it isn’t. Good for you.

Oh, and I’m not rich enough to beat up a 20k tool watch. I baby mine. :)

There are guys here way richer than I am who can afford to beat one up. Good for them.

The thing is anyone that has one or knows them even a little can spot a fake a mile away. Unless it’s one of those newer expensive fakes. Those make me think a person that spends more money on a more accurate forgery is just trying to fool more people.

Rolex is held by a non-profit charitable foundation. One day walk into a dealer and ask to flip through the book of programs initiatives and causes Rolex supports. They should have a copy near the display. Why would anyone want to hurt that, and support criminals?

Doesn’t it feel weird to constantly say “It’s a fake!” every time you show it, or when someone says “Nice watch”? To me there’s only two kinds of people that are saying “nice watch” - those that don’t know and those that do. Those that do are just calling you out to see your response.

I agree Rolex look cool! Try a pre-owned. I think you’ll find the cost is not crazy, and the comfort, fit, finish, operation, will be night and day. It’ll last a lot longer (lifetimes), and, you’ll be able to get it wet. Bonus: You will always be able to get your money back!

Just sharing another point of view that maybe was not considered.
