You know, I think I’m done with Fchat because of how common these kinds of responses are becoming. I log on periodically to check the same few threads, and when I post, about 50% of the time I get a snarky response from one of the big hitters. It’s really frustrating and discouraging. I’m an adult with thousands of posts on this forum. I know what a search function is. I’m here because I enjoy conversation and I enjoy Ferrari. If I didn’t want to talk to someone about these cars I would have used Google. I’m not here to discover hidden rules about when and why conversation should be thrown out the window for the sake of someone else’s convenience. I think you experts should stop trying so hard and just enjoy the ride. Peace.
There was some discussion about it a few pages black, happy to stand corrected but I believe it was supplied to Japan as a red car.
Does anybody know where I can restore F50 interior in Europe? The alcantara-like material seems to be ageing and looks bad and needs to be completely replaced. Thank you.
every excellent car upholsterer should be up to the job in a perfect world. But thats most probably not the case... sadly. And expect to pay a Ferrari-Tax... So, I can recomment Tapezzeria Luppi. Not easy to get them on the phone or respond to mail. Best is just to show up personally. Have dealt with them for many years (30+) and we are very happy with them. Others highly recomment Interni Auto Maielli. Have seen their work and it is perfect. Both in Italy. In GB there is O´Rourke Coachtrimming. Where in Europe are you? Maybe it than is easier to help.
Clearly the best: https://www.interniautomaieli.com/ And this upholsterer near Zurich, Switzerland, can also be very highly recommended: Daniel Schweinfurth Sattlerei Langwiesenstrasse 10 CH-8108 Dällikon (ZH) Switzerland Tel 044 817 08 33 Fax 044 817 17 15 [email protected] Marcel Massini
Thank you all for quick response. I'm based in Poland. It is important that original material is used. I found so far one company that does it with the original material - http://www.kmcoachtrim.com, but I'm a little worried to ship the parts to the USA...
I dealt with both Maieli and Luppi and they both came out with an absolutely perfect work and of course with the right material. As mentioned by mechaniker, luppi is quite difficult to reach by modern means...
It is my personal opinion that Luppi's work today is not on the same level as it used to be in the 70s, 80s and 90s. And yes, some Italians in the Ferrari restoration business, haven't improved yet their communication methods, plus there is also often a language barrier. But we should not forget that many of these people are simple artisans and highly skilled workers, rather than experts and professional users in modern communication technology. Marcel Massini
