    Springfield 1911s are very nice.

I have looked at them, but have recently been tempted with the Ed Brown Special Forces. Seems like the complete package.

The 1911 is a great gun, but it needs to be tuned correctly. The .45 is just a big happy guy coming to visit. It is my personal favorite, and has great knock down power if you choose COR-BON ammo.

That girl is SERIOUS! She has some nice shooting gloves on! Gotta love a hot girl with a hot gun...or hot car...motorcycle...boat...PWC! Pretty much just love the hot girls no matter what, but having one that likes to shoot with you is a BIG BONUS! My wife shoots some with me but we have not gone out in FAR TO LONG!

Were those 16's AR's or M's??? LOVE the C3 stuff!

    Best,
    James

And of course my old school no-fence A2 mutt, cloned a rifle I was issued many moons ago for what the Fat Boys once called "sand and sun and lots of fun" but there weren't any beaches.

Is that your Krink? That and the Romi folder are amazing. I have an Arsenal SGL-21 and trying to find a 31. I have a hard on for Russian made firearms.

Yep, it's one of my faves. SUCH a handy little booger, lightweight, compact, and 5.45 packs plenty of punch.

That’s awesome! I was so close to getting a parts kit for one back in 09, but I never did. Definitely my biggest firearm related regret. You have a great collection!

Thanks man! The Mrs. was fairly perturbed when she realized the price difference between a Bulgarian 74U kit and, say, the 89-dollar Romanian kits I'd been stockpiling prior lol. She changed her tune once it got built though....and then told me i'm never allowed to sell it when I showed her what original Bulgarian barrels go for now. :D

Hahah, that’s hilarious. The best part about Soviet bloc, AK pattern firearms is that you can use them and the value will still increase unless you absolutely beat the **** out of them. It still amazes me what the slr 100 series are going for today, when they were basically peanuts back before 2012. Do you ever watch Rob Ski’s videos or check into ak files?

Over xmas, we headed home to see my dad. He's been active with the county vets organization for quite some time, and when they did their Freedom Flights to DC (same as Honor Flight network, they just had so many WWII/Korea/Nam vets in Iowa at the time HFN was only able to take so many--county stepped up to get more flights going) I got to hang with them all day. One of his friends in the organization, also a Vietnam vet, has sadly taken a really bad turn with dementia. He's in a nursing home, so while we were in town we went to visit. The woman who's been helping several vets in the area (also an old family friend--just Midwest things :D) is handling his estate, which includes numerous firearms his step-son is ineligible to own (past record). I was helping her identify some of the firearms in his collection, and she ended up gifting me this 1951 Marlin 336 .30-30. Definitely unexpected, and quite an honor to have it passed along to me. I know Terry is the original owner, so it's staying with me till i'm dust.

Can't fire it just yet, took it to the range and learned the hard way the firing pin is broken. :D Easy repair at least, and to be honest the bolt needs a good soak in solvent anyway.

I love Marlin 30-30s...something about the smoothness of the action. I found mine at a local gun shop, it's an early 1970s production. I added sling swivels, Williams peep sight and a custom made ammunition cuff (I'm a lefty) and a leather sling.
