That my friend is a question so deep, it deserves its own thread. One can only hope that Ferrari will have a rebirth by then. Charles and the tifosi on here would deserve it.
Seems like now it's not a question whether Mazepin will drive for Haas, but whether Haas will sign him in or sell the team to him.
So, who's going to substitute Grojean for the next race: 1- Pietro Fittipaldi 2- Nico Hülkenberg 3- Mick Schumacher 4- Lois Delétraz 5- ???
There are many realities in life but there is also something called tact and class. You’ll pardon me for thinking that commenting on a driver replacement minutes after the accident is lacking in the latter.
Hulk will get the call if they have any sense Not a big fan of Hulk but I was impressed what he did with Racing Point when Perez had to sit out
Sorry if harsh but he should sit out the last two races for causing yet ANOTHER first lap accident where, if it wasn’t him nearly killed, it could have been someone else. As a matter of fact his idiot teammate—who NEVER misses an opportunity to run into another car on the first lap and proved it again today—should also leave his seat to his next year’s replacement. These two guys couldn’t leave F1 fast enough for me.
Cold... but somehow kinda honest. If the accident was just a normal crash into the barrier I think people would have questioned more what he was doing that caused it. But we are happy he appears to be able to fully recover. That's the most important thing.
I’m relieved and happy he’s OK—don’t get me wrong. Having said that, that was just a stupid move he pulled; showing he had (has) no situational/spatial awareness. The sad thing is that he’s involved in some sort of incident almost every race. He (like his teammate) is a menace to himself and everyone else on and off the track, including marshals!
Grosjean has made countless mistakes I agree... but he is a good driver with little to no sponsor money. He had a good career and had some good races with Lotus Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Both drivers have scored F1 podia prior to joining Haas. Team Haas is currently running the least powerful engine in F1 and possibly the worst chassis. What do you expect?
I don’t think Mick can race next weekend as he has the GP championship. I wouldn’t drive that dog$hit car if I were Hulk. Here is a random one but what about Alex Rossi? American PR for two races with an American team.... what if this kick started interest in him for an F1 drive in 2022?
I thought the video showed a piece of a car that went off track, well in front of Grosjean, came back and hit his left front wheel. And that is what sent the car suddenly to the right and into the barrier. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
Does he have an active Super licence though? He does qualify but he might not have the licence due to the $10k+/yearly fees.
Pietro Fittipaldi will make his F1 debut this weekend after Romain Grosjean has been ruled out through injury.
Just hoping this Fittipaldi is more talented than the previous ones (not counting Emerson of course). Maybe it's like with the peas: The genes jump over one generation, so he might be ok.
Well, he is Haas reserve and test driver so I think it would be logical, no? Also, it's a "poor" team so I don't know if they have money left over to pay for Hulkenberg. Uh? Christian Fittipaldi came directly from Brazil to the F3000 and won the championship as a rookie against the likes of Zanardi, Sospiri, and Damon Hill! He did very well in F1 with Minardi. That being said, Pietro has a lot to prove. He won the Formula V8 3.5 in 2017, former Renault 3.5, but that championship was very weak and he hadn't had any tough competition. I hope that he excels and finishes ahead of Magnussen.
