This not-yet-identified Testarossa came out the estate of Stanley Harris in 1973.
After this picture was taken it was bought by Frank O. Enright.
In the early 80s it was sold from Ohio to the West Coast, and is rumored to later have gone to Dubai.

Maybe someone recognizes the distinct white on gold paint scheme:
    http://www.anamera.com/Portals/0/activeforums_Attach/500trc.jpg
or knows which TRC Harris had owned?

    A bit more precision:
After James Downing it went to Bill Kontes (1978), then to Joe Marchetti, on to Ron Finger, back to Marchetti, 1981 to Charles Wigglesworth in KS, 1983 via Marchetti to Marriott. In November 1990 it was sold at the Orion Solo Ferrari auction in Monaco to Nicolas Seydoux in Paris. In 1994 it was sold via Uwe Meissner's Modena Motorsport GmbH in Germany to Pierre Fandel in Germany. I then sold this 500 TRC on the 1st July 1997 from Fandel back to Bill Marriott (owner for the second time).

Here it is in Washington D.C. in 2006.

What a find! Thanks Bob - so this would have been in Youngstown?

Was this coincidence, or did it pass through your Dad's hands as well?
Between collectors, cars traded without titling each new owner, so it's not hard not imagine.

Yes in Youngstown. My dad had just sold a Daytona and 330 GTS to Marchetti who sent a couple of guys to pick them up. One of the team was driving a car hauler and the other was towing the TRC. I remember that one of the drivers had a bunch of stitches in his forehead and my father, being a doctor, offered to remove them. Dad made me hold the lamp while he pulled the stitches.

So one needs to be a doctor to remove stitches, even those on themself ? Darn, no one told me. :(

While nothing contributing to topic itself, above reminded me of a visit to emergency room, maybe 35-40(?) years ago, to get a very small metal splinter removed from one of my eyeballs, after struggling for over 1/2 an hour at home attempting to get it out myself, only to be scolded by the attending doctor, not only for mentioning the self attempt itself, but also after he saw similar scar tissue nearby from another splinter I had successfully removed myself a day earlier.

Yep, it was all part of the learning curve, I guess.
It’s quite funny in hindsight, when you’re young (teenager at the time) and feel completely invincible and fully capable of fixing everything, including yourself, by yourself.
My best friend lost an eardrum while doing welding under the car and hot slag found its way inside his ear. Both of us have been wearing earmuffs during any task chancing something similar since.

Just out of curiosity, having never seen or recall seeing any side by side, but how much, if anything noticeable or obvious, difference in overall physical size is between these (late ?) Mondials and 250 TRs or other similar style 12 cyl. sports racing Ferraris ?

Thanks for these, but I meant more like if they’re side by side do they appear visually to be different size ?
I mean would a 500 Mondial or TRC look like 7/8 scale next to 250 TR ?

It’s just that I’ve always preferred the overall appearance of Mondials/TRCs* as they seem to feature slightly better proportioning. Or am I just imagining ?

    * And given a choice, 315S/335S notwithstanding, I’d take one of these before any similar V12 examples.
