I have had the Shop Rite Brand Pork Roll also, it is a fine specimen.

 

This thread needs reviving!

Just had a pork roll, egg and cheese on a hogie roll with lettuce, tomato and onion as well as salt, pepper and oregano. The guy making it was mortified by the combination but I was in heaven!

My mother's side of the family is from Philadelphia, so I grew up with pork roll. It's absolutely delicious with egg and cheese on a bagel, hard roll, etc. YUM!

I'm lucky that Publix carries it here.

You just don't see Taylor Ham here. Never heard of it before till F-Chat fanatics going on and on about it. So last year I was in a real nice deli and there it was. With these real nice cheeses and pates. With all the raving going on here I couldn't believe it. This stuff makes Spam seem like health food. Some real fatty terrible stuff. Maybe a regional thing. Need a little Jersey blood or something.
