Bonehead move in qualifying, causing a collision, starts 18th...if not penalised.

and the stewards: "[Schumacher] had a responsibility to complete the pass without initiating contact. [Nissany] could have been closer to the edge of the circuit and could have lifted to facilitate the pass."

If you look at Nissany’s helmet looking in the mirrors then changing trajectory and probably accelerating you can tell he was planning on blocking Schumi all along. When that didn’t work he just crashed into him. Should get a ban imo. Another pay driver idiot

And if you look at Schmi's onboard it shows a different story, I thought this comment from reddit summed it up pretty well

"But that argument doesn't stand, mick has successfully overtaken Nissany and he had slowed down to prepare for his lap. It wasn't like Nissany blocked Mick. The overtake was done, but Mick made a mistake and cut across to early. It doesn't matter at that point he was on a fast lap. Mick has hit another car himself, Nissany is a passenger.

Its also worth noting that Mick was the only one on a fast lap in that area. He had actually already been blocked earlier in the lap and lost a second in the middle sector. He was clearly frustrated and wanted to rush past Nissany. He's made a mistake and will learn from it."

Mistakes happen. Mick was desperate, and it's definitely his fault here.

Surely looks that way at first until you focus on Nissany’s helmet and where he’s looking. Add to that Mick was on a fast lap and should have been given way and I don’t think so at all

In the middle of a move halfway round the world - just managed to catch the results online and run through the lap times to see Mick's fastest lap time! 8 points for the race together with Illot. 14 point lead remains!! Woohoo!!

My wife LAUGHED when I told her the state of play in the championship and I automatically referred to Mick as "Schumi" in my excitement.

Hopefully will be at my destination in front of a TV in time for the sprint race tomorrow!

I will be glad to see another "SCH" (or "SHU"?) of any description on the leader board once again.
There has not been much to pull for with the red cars lately, but I have to admire Hass' perspicacity.

I am genuinely happy to see Mick Schumacher graduating to F1.
Haas may not be the best team around at the moment but it is loosely in the Ferrari orbit.
It may be a good environment for Shu Jr to learn his trade.
For Haas, it could be a turning point.
