TdF 0733GT and 500 Mondial, Series II, 0556(0446)MD at Road America in 2013. Francois Picard was the first owner of the Mondial in 1955. Two years later, Picard and Maurice Trintignant raced 0733GT, coming in second overall in the '57 Tour de France and eighth overall in January 1958 at the 1000km in Buenos Aires. The Mondial is tiny compared to the TdF. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Great pics, yes #0895gt did the MM multiple times too, but being a March 1958 completion not technically eligible right now. Seems silly to haggle over a few months that were over 60 years ago!

Very interesting Marcel, so are the 1955 cars, 0369gt, 0383gt, 0385gt and 0393gt considered the first TdFs or a precursor to the 1956 Tdfs? If not Tdfs are they then called 250 Europa GT?
Europas. Chassis type 508 with engine type 112. First TDF chassis #0503 GT was chassis type 508 B-513 with engine type 128 B. Marcel Massini
there is an article about that car in a french magazine . https://www.gatsbyonline.com/automobile/1965-fiat-8v-john-willment-cobra-427sc-350759/
I think there was only one Cobra. From memory John Willment found the body in a scrap yard and fitted it to a spare rolling chassis.
