I recommend you revisit 2017&18. Hamilton trailed in the championship both years do to a fast Ferrari. He came back and won both years. This is what champions do and this is why Mercedes keeps renewing Hamilton's contract regardless what haters say. Hamilton already won the championship 2008 without the best car. Hamilton has already proven himself, we really should be discussing younger drivers more.

The way Nico, average at best, embarrassed Lewis in equal equipment with inferior strategy? That never happened to MS or Senna. Russell is just the icing on the Average Ham cake.

2008...did'nt Massa have a hiccup in one of those races in a season....just like Lewis had a hiccup in 2016 in Malaysia???

2017 and 2018 Ferrari DID have the fastest car but give credit to Ferrari and driver to NOT follow thru....consecutively.l...whether it's Seb pierrot-ing, or bad strat calls, no correlation between wind tunnel test and the actual car...blah blah blah. Ferrari as a whole dropped the ball mid-season.

Yes, the younger drivers do race each other....mostly in clean fashion....but at times they do have clashes.

Regardless, THE CAR with the team and no one pressurizing Lewis gives Lewis the reason why he is a multiple WDC. Bottas fits the bill of a number 2.

    Nonsense

Since you didn't bother to answer my question I will do it for you: Your average at best Nico demolished Schumacher in the three years they were together. Nico roughly doubled the amount of points MS had.

History will demonstrate in a few decades it would have been so much better for Hamilton legacy three or four WDC Trophies with one or two won against a strong teammate like Max or Charles than 8 WDC with the fragile Bottas the last five championships.

He did well. World turned. I do not hero worship F1 drivers. I was complimentary. He has a long way to go to equal MS or LH etc or FA. His journey is just beginning.

Oh Hello Pedro, yes he is spot on in his world, it's a pity you cannot say the same, you are never spot on.

However if you are talking about Elton John, I'am sure he could give you a nice spin. :D

Ill agree to a point. But he confirmed what was already known to the field how much easier it is in that car.

It's always easier in the field's best car. Whether that's Lewis' Merc, Alonso's Renault, Schumacher's Ferrari or Hakkinen's McLaren.
