    Vern,

Same spot for certain, however with a right hand drive car I could see the right side apex easily and that is not the case for left hand drive cars. You are a bit wide at this point.

    Best regards,

    Robert

Your right I was a bit wide but in my defense look what I was driving haha. In all honesty it was just a parade lap, what surprised me was how compressed the front left corner of the 512 was at a relatively slow speed. Definitely a GT car and not a track car.

On a different note if I may ask what rank were you when you retired?

    Vern,

It was not a criticism but a comment. The right side apex is invisible from the left hand drive drivers seat so it is a tough corner to do right. The amount of lean is partially due to a tight corner, check out my car photo for comparison

I retired in 1988 as an O-7 with 31 years active duty (including 375 days in DaNang), RADM at the time. Label for later retirees has since change to RDML (Rear Admiral Lower Half)

    Best regards,

    Robert

Thank you for your service. Much respect from a Jarhead to a Naval officer.

Bryan, I have the utmost regard for the Maine Corps. I sent some time in an USMC tent on a cot on pallets in DaNang in 65 during a VC attack and felt quite safe. You just celebrated the 245th USMC birthday last month, so belated happy birthday. Thank you for your service.

    Best regards,

    Robert

Very kind of you. I am glad you served and spent time with our brothers before me. I am also glad you came back home safe.

We, indeed just celebrated our birthday. I was able to travel to Puerto Rico and get together in San Juan with about 20 or so guys from our unit from NAVSTA Roosey Roads; and as always, we had a blast. The brotherhood runs deep in our Corps and for that alone, I respect and I am grateful for everyone in our military. God bless you/them all. Semper Fi.
