My cherished car was stolen from Knightsbridge/South Kensington on weekend of 20th October and is as follows: Chiara Blue body, black targa top Blue leather trim and blue carpets Reg: XGF 89M Chassis/engine number 07212 Mileage 38,907 If anything resembling all or part of this car comes your way I would very much appreciated a call. You can contact me on +44 7785 730 645 or email me on [email protected] Thanking you in advance
Wow!! Just terrible! Welcome but sorry for the circumstance.....surely it's as rare on the road there, as they are here???
Wow! I'm really sorry to hear, were the keys in the car/ignition? Was it stolen from your house, out the public motorways, other location? Have you contacted all the local car transports/ferries to let them know of your loss? Seems as if the thieves are going to be a bit landlocked and would have a tough time getting it out of the country. If it was stolen on public motorways, have you contacted the city/town to recover possible traffic footage? I doubt it would make it's way across the pond, me thinks it'd end up somewhere in India or Dubai.
You have my deepest sympathies. I had a 1970 Jaguar E-type stolen about 3 years ago from a local service garage. Nothing ever turned up on that car. I hope you get your car back in good shape right away.
Sorry to hear that. Seems like that is happening more frequently in Europe. It must be easier for them to dispose of the car or it's parts than it is in the US? Hope you track it down.
Do post a pic of it, Lets pray its still in the UK and you would find it soon. Would keep a look out, maybe try and search Japan URL's
I`m very sorry. Do you have further informations like: engine no. gearbox no. body no. I think it`s impossible to sell the car as a hole or in parts these days. The last stolen Dino, in Denmark, was recovered after two years unharmed.... So everybody, especially in the UK, keep your eyes open. Regards Matthias
Keep an eye on E-Bay Surely only an idiot would steal a car like this.......it just has to turn up some where at some stage albeit in parts!
I hope they find it before that can happen, but here, it's VERY likely your car is "stolen to order" by a shop that needs it for a repair. I pay huge insurance even on my non runners. Which do leave casually parked around. They can have them if they want! Sorry you know I didn't mean to hurt any feelings. Gone is gone. Like women!!
Crikey - I live in London and while mine is stored in a safe place, I would certainly be interested in the circumstances......I do occasionally park my GTS on the street in and around K&C....while it has a Tracker installed, Dinos are eminently breakable into and I suspect I canny car thief could 'jump' a Dino in very short order. Maybe I will have to think about taking out the electrical cut out switch when I leave it parked on the street, even if only for an hour or two. Sorry for your loss - but thank you for posting, it will make all the rest of us think a little harder about where we leave our cars.
details and pictures of Sean's car can be found in F-Register's Chronicle http://www.f-register.com/community/the-chronicle#blog_entry_377 Matthias Urban F-Register.com DinoRegister.com
Really sorry to hear about this. I have tweeted about this as there was a case of a custom Subaru that was recovered after world of it's theft was spread on there.
In a short time eng.#, body# and trans. # will be published on f-register.com in case parts of the car will show up somewhere. Matthias Urban F-Register.com DinoRegister.com
So sorry to hear this. I hope you retrieve your car quickly. I use my Dino daily and it's just parked in an open public lot. I sometimes think about how easy it is to break into my car. It's also a GTS. It's so easy to get a slim jim past the weather seals. And on top of that, my quarter windows don't have the locking tabs. I just made it a point to make a friend of the parking attendant. And he keeps an eye out for me.
Sean provided us with Body #2497 Transmission #2573 Engine #11455 that are used on #07212. Please stay aware if the car or parts of it are offered somewhere.
I regret the news. It will be very difficult to sell some or all 'publicly', only if it was on an 'order' basis, and even then... Best of luck! Regards, Alberto
Here is 07212 in better days and as born. 16 September 1979 at Goodwood. July 1983 in the UK. And an old sales ad. Marcel Massini Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
here's a guess one of the seller's copied a key and waited for a moment and kept track of the car and took it when a good opportunity arose and a plan for post theft was cooked or maybe i watch too much crime TV
