    Hi Everyone,

I am buying a F355 BBR model off ebay. The seller says it's factory new and never came with a clear plastic display case. Is that correct? Besides the cardboard box, did they come with anything else?

Yes, the seller is correct. Older BBR models like that one generally came in a white box with their labels on it. They did not use any clear cases then, except for some special editions, etc.

The BBR BC Series came with covers as did most all of the Ferrari Formula 1. The regular production cars were just as they appear in that photo. Horrible packaging by the way.

Thank you all. The seller actually cancelled the transaction as he didn't have it in stock. Perhaps it was because I was asking too many questions? I'll wait for it to resurface.

I'd prefer the original one in the 90s to the re-issue. I like it to be period correct to my car and also, the old one is red with black leather just like my car. The new one is red/tan.

The base in that first photo looks wrong. It should have that raised base like in your post #1 picture. That base doesn't look like it would fit in the box. BBR did transition over to the other new red and black boxes shown and that base should be correct.
