just adding more Hagerty research to this

every Ferrari made in 1966 is in the 7 figure+ category

    except the 330

A concours GTC in freshly restored condition will not be at $505k but closer to $600k. Lately the GT 2+2 are in the $165-$300k range. Problem is restorations are expensive and take 1-2 years and cost $300-500k depending on the shop, so valuation post restoration is hard to establish but should dictate a premium.

Geno - altho I don't know these cars specifically

I surely know the perils and expense of deep restorations on rare cars

all that to say I agree with you and add that

Hagerty is by no means the exact predictor of the actual market

those are insurance numbers - and a "range" at that

I have been looking at 330's on and off

I have found some basket cases for 100k

they could easily run up a bill of 200k-300k to restore

there are actually 2 330's selling at the Mecum auction in Florida in January

    I will be watching closely

If I paid $275k plus buyers premium, and then restored it, I’d be asking a lot too.

I owned my 330 2+2 for seven years and really enjoyed the car. I made some money, too.

The way I look at it... if someone wants $X for their car and a buyer is willing to pay $X for a car, then it is a good price. No one is forced to sell or buy these vehicles.
