Hi all; it's been a while since I've been on. Not too much driving this year. Starting to plan my winter projects and one has me cleaning up the engine bay on the 412. The cloth braiding on many of the hoses is pretty ratty, and the couple of hoses I've pulled are hardened and likely to crack and start leaking.
To retain originality, I am looking for input on availability, and sizes. I replaced one section of hose with 5/16 plain fuel / vacuum hose from NAPA.
I did find one supplier with a pretty wide range of metric sizes, and a 1 meter min buy for any length. Trying to cover a range, I was quickly at $200 for hoses, and not even sure I had the right sizes.
So; I imagine someone has replaced their hoses, and perhaps can provide some input as to sizes and lengths and sources. Would appreciate guidance!
    Thanks

This could be a good starting point : https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/its-time-to-do-all-fo-the-hoses-on-my-1980-400i-ser-i.184614/#post-137468209

It seems to me that Ferrari sourced most their hoses from cohline, at least this is where I found the hard to find ones (oil and fuel lines). For the coolant lines, maybe you can depart from original hoses: for instance thick wall hoses are notoriously difficult to install on the exit of the cooling pump, so that's one area were I have a "shiny" blue silicon hose. Not pretty, I must confess, but so much easier to install!

You might consider contacting Scuderia Rampante. They were able to provide me with a complete set of fuel and coolant silicone hoses for my 412. I think they will likely outlast the car and me!

Mine is quite similar, with "closed" loops and thin walls. Yours does look better though (black colour). That's definitively one area were silicone hoses do make sense as stock hoses are almost impossible to insert without taking the engine out of the engine bay. I will probably change this hose again within the next decade, as I doubt it will last as long as the original beefy hose.

For the remaining hoses, I am not sure I will take a chance on silicone hoses: most are of dubious origin, and are not any cheaper than genuine German made products.

Silicone hoses are cheaper to manufacture in small quantities, so whenever there is a very specific need, these can be worth a look. But at the end of the day the original setup is quite reliable, easy to source and does look right in the engine bay.

Scuderia rampante does have an excellent reputation and judging by the photos posted on the BB/TR forum, their product are of the highest quality, plus it's a no brainer as they know our cars and can provide you with suitable "kits"

If you want to stay fully stock (cohline hoses) and save a few penny then give Cohpro a chance: https://www.cohpro.com/cohline-catalogue . They do not provide ready-made kits, so you have to identify the hose references in the PDFs (can be tedious), and then add them to your basket. Whenever a reference is not in stock just drop them an e-mail as they may order a 20m roll from the German factory. They are based in the UK so shipping could be an issue for the next following weeks.
