    I can’t argue with that. For us who live where smog testing is required, however, I’m wary of anything that will cancel OBD II readiness indicators, like resetting the ECU by powering off everything. It’s really hard to get them to show ready after a reset.

    update - got my replacement MAFs installed -- both had the hologram seals. installed and reset the ECUs according to procedure posted above.
    zero issues / happy customer.
