Hello gents.....I have no prior purchase history with any Ferrari dealers. What is the typical time frame I could expect to wait until the car would land?

12-18 months depending on the dealer and the games they play.

I was told 18-20 mos because of the factory delays this summer. [I didn't order... and then the first person I know who got his has it for sale already, he didn't enjoy it after all]

It’s a shame that dealers still play games with all the competition out there.

I was also told 12-18 mo. yesterday by FOCF with no guarantee of a car. I actually don’t mind waiting a bit, as I’ll be upgrading homes with larger garage space. But lots can change in 18 months.

Hell, folks are waiting 12 months for a C8, so I guess it’s all relative.

I don't attribute that to dealer games as to the reality of the factory allocations. If I wanted an F8 I could get one... it would just be a while. And Ferrari stopped production for 3-4 mos.

Now for Pista/Pista Spider? Yeah that's hard to swallow, what they made people eat on their Portofinos and Lussos to get one!

Other than flipping, I don’t get it.

Why would someone go through the entire process, take delivery, insure it, then go through the headache of having to sell?

What didn’t they enjoy about it? Didn’t they take it for a ride? If I were dropping 350-400 on a car, I’d at least drive it around the block ( and a long one at that).

The games are some people are 12 months, others are 18 months. Someone with lots of buying history may get one in 3-6 months. A good friend of mine with no buying history went in to buy an F8 for cash and was told 12 months. He has now been bumped 3 times and more likely to be 24 months. I agree with the you on the games with the Pista.

He has a garage full of exotics including some hypercar level stuff. He only put 480 miles or so on it... I'll DM with details.

I had to go and google hypercar, LOL! For those that care, to attain hypercar status requires one to be in the top 1% of supercars.

Soooooooooo......is this 1% based on cost? Speed? Number of units produced?

knowing what is and isn’t a hyper car is sort of like wondering whether or not you are watching porn. It’s hard to describe what it is but you know when you see it.

A lot can happen in 12-20 months. Marriage, divorce, job change, move, birth of a new child, stock market crash, housing market crash.

I’d wager that if you double down on the F8 spider and hang-in there, you will get a car and maybe sooner than you think.
