That would have been me! I filled up with non Ethanol gasoline at the North Plains gas station (only local station that has it). And then exercised "Francesca" for 30 minutes. Not a lot of driving opportunities here in Portland during the winter/next 3 months.
Mine is Sand Beige. My 280SE 3.5 Coupe is Tunis Beige. Both are a metallic, almost gold color. The 300SEL is a lot of fun, it is so modest looking that most people think it is a diesel or something... yet it would hold it's own with your 348, at least up to 100mph. Maybe above that. The torque it has is unreal. If you haven't been there, Marian Acres is a fantastic little farm market right along that road.
No doubt the 300SEL is a sleeper beast! I just love the classic lines and styling of the Mercedes sedans/coupes. And golden colors really bring out the lines, and has a distinguished look. I will have to stop by that farm market sometime and check it out. Have a spectacular day!
It is the Chevron. You have to go around back where the non-PUC diesel pumps are, and it's a pump in that row. On the opposite side of the building from the main auto pumps. Also, FYI, I have never seen an attendant at the non-ethanol pump. I always just get out and pump it myself. From what I've seen, so does everyone else. When I'm getting normal gas for one of my modern cars, I usually just go to the Shell because it's less crowded, and the price is typically the same or within a few pennies.
thanks donv, I used the "self-serve" today. It is 60 cents cheaper a gallon than the 76 in Wilsonville!
Saw Rolls Royce Silver Wraith at 162nd and 1st in Vancouver yesterday. Been a while since I have seen one of those.
just saw an orange C8 in downtown vancouver. it looked a lot less horrible in person than in pictures. maybe i will get the z06 after all when it comes out

Yup. I’ll likely be there again on Saturday. Not sure if I’m going to bring the scud or the E63. Maybe the RS4 if it’s done by then.
At Portland Cars & Coffee: A nice mix of cars including a Blue Pozzi 512BBi Image Unavailable, Please Login .
Does anyone do any track days casual or competitive at PIR? Was thinking of keeping a car at my parents' place in Mckminnville for when I come to town I have something to do.
And per the owner, he thinks that the color is Blue Sera instead of Pozzi (doesn't have the paint sticker anymore). My bad - very similar to the color of a Navy F4U Corsair . . . .
