so much better than even my RR SC with snows.... does anyone use the snow flake setting? I tried with it on and off and didn't notice a dif
Yes. In really icy road conditions the snow setting shifts incredibly smoothly, and if you keep speed below 60mph or so, stays in lower four gears, keeping 4wd available at all times. Go much faster and it shifts up eventually. Wet mode will shift up to higher gears much sooner.
Flake mode also softens the ride far more than the wet/comfort modes which are a bit stiffer. Put her in snow mode, get in some deep snow, mash the throttle to the floor and she will shake once then smoothly pull away using very little horsepower until you hit the first dry spot, then hang on! The computers REALLY work well to keep the FF under control in any snow & ice. Obviously you really need SottoZero snow/ice tires. I have them and recently pulled into about 8" of snow in an unplowed driveway with no problems at all. Even backing out of that spot was no problem. The FF has to be the safest car in Toledo! Rick
Rick That is a beautiful FF - I almost got one last year - put down $20,00 deposit on a beautiful Rosa Maranello and then my wife got into a bad car accident with her car the same weekend - she is now Ok but the deal went south - my wife drove it at the dealer and put the hammer on it - she love it - we'll have one down the road - be a blast to drive in the snow in NC Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I saw an FF in Rosa Maranello last year, very pretty color! Thanks for the photos, gorgeous car and gorgeous wife! I would love to see photos of an FF in Rosa Corsa if anyone out there has one! Rick
Try this thread from this past February. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/ff-f12/399354-ff-snow-morning.html
You can NEVER be too careful! That road had a 55 mph speed limit although I was going a bit slower. What you can't see well is the solid wall of snow the FF is dragging behind, it was very cool. Rick

Almost 7 years to the day that you started this thread. I'm glad that you're still in love with the FF (especially in the snow!) and it's such a great colour.
