LOL, there are certainly plenty to go around.....odd since the car that proceeded it, the Boxer, is the only sub-$300k Ferrari I openly lust after....one of the most beautiful Ferraris ever.
I agree, seems innocent at first blush but people do take pride and often times invest a lot of money and time into something they like or fits their needs
For art to be truly ground breaking, it has to make you a bit uncomfortable at first. Then, over time, you appreciate it. If you never try anything different the world becomes boring. The 458 had those gull wings in the front grill. A lot of people didn't like them. Now what do they say? I like the SF90's new front wing integration. Its clever.
the outside is great. the inside, is my only beef... I don't like the round air vents... even in my 599 I'm not a fan, much prefer the ones in the 458. the SF 90 is very comfortable ... cant wait to get a drive.
I've had a difficult time with the 612 Scaglietti but I saw one on the street driving by one day and it looks much better than photos. Beauty is all relevant.
The other SF90 spider innovation is the first folding hard top that has glass over the engine. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I don't understand the need for this fin. The Corvette C8 doesn't have one and it has everything -- Wifi, OnStar, phone, Sat nav, Sirus, AppleCar play, back up cameras, etc. In fact "the ugly" part is that Chevy gives you AppleCar play for free and Ferrari charges you $4000.
Of course, everything is subjective, but from my experience, this is what I've 'often' read/heard. I think it's important to exclude purpose-built non-road cars and 'one-offs' or customs. 1) Mondial 2) 365/400/412 3) 308 GT4 4) FF/GTC4 Lusso 5) 330 GT 2+2 Series I I think ugly is a misnomer, though. I don't believe any Ferrari is 'ugly,' just that some stand out more than others. I would be proud to own any of the above and think all of em look great. The worst thing I can say about any of the above is they may not be as 'popular.' To many, that's a good thing. Also, the adage time is kind to all Ferrari is true.
For the Mondial, I think its fate is sealed by the multitude of junky ones out there. Many first experiences of folks on the Mondial is an Internet article or fatigued ones bought by a budget gourmand. Image Unavailable, Please Login I think the 365/400/412 is not 'ugly' - I guess 'straightforward' is the word that comes to mind for me. However, the design did influence so much of the 70's cars. Remember folks, this basic design came out in the 1972. Just check out other cars that came out that year. You’ll see how forward and radical this design was versus the 60s. I venture to say folks that hate the FF/Lusso probably don't like hatchbacks in general. Ironically the car most folks would say is the ugliest hatchback, the BMW Gen 1 Roadster, is an enthusiast favorite. Image Unavailable, Please Login The 308 GT4 would always make the shortlist of cars, as I said - the time is kind to all Ferrari - very telling it's seen quite a resurgence and a newfound appreciation for it's Bertone pedigree. Image Unavailable, Please Login All good, I get where you're coming from. We've had some trolls stir the pot, but I think @m5shiv is not. It's fair for all of us to judge anything as subjective as car lines as 'ugly.' That's 100% percent right to that person, as it's 100% correct for somebody that disagrees. If you find any of the above 'usual' suspects as ugly though, thank you, sir - hopefully, more believe it, so I can bottom-feed. For the right price, I would snap any of the above in a second.
THIS is ugly. Some people need to understand the meaning of words a bit better. Image Unavailable, Please Login
No its a Citroen Ami 6 -- a replacement for the 2CV. Its hard to imagine someone in car management being shown this car and then saying "Wow! We really need to get this into production!"
Haha, I’m a weird one though, I like funky cars. Maybe not for mainstream daily driver, but I would drive it at an event for the pure uniqueness of it.
