    Question for everyone

Would you purchase a two year old 812 with a minor carfax on the front bumper?

if so, what kind of discount would you require?

I want a saw a car in S.Florida prior to knowing it had any carfax blemishes. Car is the spec i would want and is a very good deal, 290k on a 430 or so sticker. Local dealer. Also car has had three owners in 4200 miles, would you ding the value for that as well

    Thanks for the feedback

Sounds like a pretty good deal especially if it has some warranty left. I think there are a bunch of guys waiting for these to hit the $300K or less threshold.

Just keep in mind, Ferrari’s with Carfax reports are very easy to buy but extremely difficult to sell.

Once you buy them they’re yours.

Seems like at 290 the carfax ding is already priced in?

How long do you plan to keep the car ? If a long time, carfax essentially times out and it *may* be a reasonable deal. Number of owners no real impact on value. Let's see more details and pictures, but need to know your intent.

Can't everything be solved by properly pricing it in to an offer you make?

Do you have pictures or can the current seller get you the pictures?

A carfax will be a no go for many prospects regardless of the price.

Then for those still interested, many will want documentation re the event.
If not docs, they will walk.

Then from those remaining, they will negotiate the price down.

So if you are buying to enjoy for a year or so, be ready for the above when you want to sell.

It seems like the carfax is minor - did they give you all the details?

It all comes down to the price. There seems to be a few 812 around the 300k range but I don't know their msrp.
I'd try to knock down another 10k to make it worth your hassle when you ll want to sell.

its good to see there are reasonable opinions on both sides of this argument. My issue is resale. I like this front engine beast quite a bit, but know i want to be back in a convertible of some sort, whether it be the GTS or the F8 spider in the next couple of years. Im an idiot and sold my last 488 spider which i loved, and will honestly probably just bite the bullet and order an F8 spider and wait to get what i want. thank you for the feedback

Like you I sold my 488 Spider and realized later I made a mistake. I previously had a 458 Spider and was of the opinion the F8 was too similar to those cars and looked for other options. I settled on a ‘19 812SF and love it. So far I have not missed the Spider
Wish you the best in whatever you decide.
