Reverse button was torn on my 2007 430. The solutions seem to be $600 for a whole aftermarket assembly, $185 to $250 Ebay for a "Ferrari" labeled replacement button cover, or an aftermarket one for $150. The $185 factory labeled on Ebay cost $50 to ship. I usually ignore vendors with excess shipping fees. Do the replacement buttons work OK for 12 years like the factory one did?

Unfortunately any rubber button will fail just like the original did. The best solution is the improved permanent design that Stickyrx offers.

I used the Sticky no more buttons. Took very little time with tools I had in my kitchen drawer. Never even had to go to my shop. Money well spent.

You both suggest the $600 solution? The original button lasted 12 years so that isn't an issue. Thanks for responding.

It sounds like Sticky No More may be an option for you ? I have a 2005 with a Jaeger version control panel. According to FCI, my REVERSE “R” button was working intermittently when I brought my car in for F1 actuator issues. Supposedly they inspected the switch and it’s working now. I’ve been researching about getting a replacement “R” switch and keep coming up with “”you have to buy the whole control panel””. I can’t just switch to Digitek everyone says. If you can get away with paying less than 600, that’s a plus.
    Either way, good luck !!!

Yes 600 bucks and 20 minutes and you won’t have the issue for life.

Or replace the rubber for 150 and fix it again later. My switches were good. The rubber was toast. Also a mounting screw bracket, plastic and part of the switch was broken off and lying in the tunnel.

So replacing the rubber in my case would not have solved my “pushed in” reverse switch anyway and even so why put in a substandard part to save 450 dollars so that you can fix it again. It is false economy and the 600 set is way nice looks the same and is not squishy. The guy and the company with the new part who makes them is a A+ company.

I think my dealer wanted 3600 or something to replace mine. Took me 20 minutes. So the labor rate for this job is about 9000 an hour.

Was it $600 for the metal panel and the two push button switches? The complete assembly? Did you just remove the whole assembly and replace it with the new one?
If so, where did you get the new one?

So the Dealer will replace the whole panel as that is how Ferrari sells the part I was told as an assembly.

The switches can easily be replaced and you can reuse your panel. The switch assembly screws into the panel with 4 screws and the harness has a plug right there too.

    I used this part:

The black plastic R cover and the underlying white plastic piece crumbled. Fortunately the actual button still works when depressed without the cover. Are they selling just the plastic cover or the underlying electronic button?

This is who I used: https://stickybuttonfix.com/products/ferrari-auto-launch-control-button

It doesn’t seem like this one will fall apart at all. The only downside is that I feel it doesn’t illuminate as much, but it’s definitely a sturdy replacement.

You have to switch out the entire assembly, wiring, etc to use hard plastic. $$$$$$$ - -You can buy 10 rubber ones for the cost to convert. Your basically buying a bunch of stuff you do not need to make a hard plastic cap work when 99% of the time, it is just the button cap that fails
