    Our battery is dead and the electric hood release won’t open. Is there another way to open the hood? We have a 92 Mondial T.

    Sure, by the driver's left knee there is a manual pull release.

    Adding to this: Having *just* gone thru this my 89 t, I can say the location of that emergency pull is likely quite variable. I struggled for 10 mins poking around with a flashlight only to discover the pull was tucked up into the shroud covering the adjustable height steering column. It wasn't clear what direction to pull (down, back, down+back+left) so I imagined a line from the column up to the latch which in the centerline of the bonnet. Gently pulled, then harder, then harder ... and click, it opened. Imagine my dispair had the cable sheared instead.
