Thanks brother, it was a strange/crazy season with all the injuries, COVID, games being played on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, QB changes. Always had to have backup players ready to go on a moment's notice. Regarding Cousins, garbage time with negative game script against the Saints= 3 TD's. Ironically the same thing happened to me yesterday as my championship opponent had Diontae Johnson and Big Ben. Fortunately, I had a big enough cushion to weather the Steelers' furious rally. Thank you Houston Defense for giving my opponent -4 points HA.
For sure T. Bunch of playoff spots still in play. 4 weeks ago I wrote ofF the Cowboys season. Nice to feel optimism going into week 17. What do you think happens to the Rams now that Goff is out? Never heard of the backup QB. Murray is iffy. Colts looked like a lock now outside looking in. Only absolutes are KC and GB. Everything else is a gimmee.
Yeah. Who knows about Goff. Really harsh story on him in LA Times, calling him Jameis Winston West! https://www.latimes.com/sports/rams/story/2020-12-28/jared-goff-rams-seahawks-nfl-playoffs My feeling is that if you lose to Jets in a critical game, and then go without a TD in another critical game, that's a very bad look. Even if they make it to the playoffs, hard to see them going far. You kind of get the feeling that their window is closing rapidly if they're losing faith in Goff & they have a ton of dough tied up in him. Good lesson for Cowboys and Dak there?!? John Wolford? Never heard of him either. Wiki says he was born in Dallas, so you know he's got pigskin in his genes! Lol. T
Concur. Even more due to Dak's horrific injury. WFT facing this offseason dilemna is Smith a viable, reliable, longterm starter? The jury is out. Does it make sense for Cowboys to tie up a huge chunk with Dak when there are numerous promising QBs in the upcoming draft and this year has shown rookie QB's can perform and even flourish? Lamb and Cooper looked really good this weekend. Get Zeke back on track, get the O-line healthy for next season. Ironic to see Goff and Wentz regress so dramatically this season. Wentz' contract makes him untradeable and unreleasable given his lack of talent. Will be most expensive backup QB next season behind Hurts.
Contract decision on Dak is a decision I'm glad I don't have to make. I think Dak is a good QB and a great leader, but that's a lot of money to tie up in someone with such a major injury. I'm just pumped that we have a meaningful game. More importantly, I wondered a month ago how they would close out the season. They've shown some gumption, much to my surprise I have to say. Hopefully, a strong ending and something to build on next year...T
Alex Smith gets the start today against the Iggles . . . . https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/30640483/washington-alex-smith-very-promising-start-sunday-vs-philadelphia-eagles
I believer the Giants would win the division if they win and the WFT loses, so Washington would still have something to play for.
Sucks Mike Evans got injured on the day he got his 7th 1k receiving yard season. Hope he can play in the playoffs for the first time, but I have my doubts. Looks like Bucs vs Giants/WFT given that Cowboys INT.
