Hi All, All the best for the new year! Has anyone put their 308 on scales to get the split weights (each corner of the car)? I'm interested in the US QV model specifically, but will take any 308 data at this point. Cheers, BB
Well, Harry Metcalfe weighed his UK fiberglass GTB and it was: 269kg LF 269kg RF 357kg LR 353kg RR Weight was with fuel and lubricants (1248 kgs). So about a 43/57 bias. Can’t remember exactly what my QV was when it was weighed, but I wouldn’t expect a huge change in bias, perhaps slightly more rear biased (and a reasonably significant overall weight increase) for a US QV. Let me tell you something, what makes a car a Ferrari is the engine, once you replace that with another brand, that car is no longer a Ferrari because the body is really not a Ferrari rather it’s a PininFarina which is the coach builder of the 308 chassis among many other. Does this make sense?
