I said in our Pick 'Em thread I thought Wolford was a decent QB, saw him play just about every AAFL game and I really thought he'd find his way to an NFL roster, I'm a little surprised it took this (injury) to do it.
What a crazy Raider / Bronco game! For all the crap that fell on Las Vegas this past year, winning with a 2 point play in the last seconds makes it a little sweeter. Meaningless? Yes. Still sweet.
For a guy that has never started a game and was just added to the roster, it was a GREAT game for him or anyone thrust into that position.
lol saints-bears will be televised on nickelodean. https://sports.yahoo.com/saints-bears-earns-nickelodeon-simulcast-033007542.html
I dozed off and missed the game, but I can't imagine the Iggs chucked the game to screw the Giants. However, the optics on replacing Hurts are bad. Now, if the Cowboys had won and got jobbed like this, I would be livid! T
It's amazing how many stats are kept nowadays - like noting that Nick Chubb's long TD run was the first 40+ yard TD run for a Browns RB against the Steelers since Jim Brown did it back in 1958!
And the Nickelodean broadcast will actually have snapchat-like filters with green slime in the endzone and googly eyes on players, etc. Weird. Video sample in link. https://www.nfl.com/news/cbs-sports-nickelodeon-team-up-nfl-wild-card-game-nickelodeon
He may never play in an NFL game again, (I think he will), but still, I was praying he would get a passing TD so he would be in the history books forever. I think ownership dictated they put in a QB that had not played in TWO YEARS. No, they (management) didn't want to win, I firmly believe they pulled that stunt to screw the Giants. 'That was the longest run in history where he ran east, the temp was under 35 degrees, the humidity was over 85%, the QB that handed him the ball wore a single-digit numbered jersey and was under 6' tall and wore size 11 shoes...' and so on. I'm sooooo tired of dumbass 'statistics'.
Another lost season. Cowboys played better in the 2nd half but wouldn't have mattered in the end as the Skins won. Rooting for the Skins to upset the Buc's. 7.5 point underdogs and they are the home team. Tom, do you think Pederson pulled Hurts in the 4th quarter so the Iggles would lose and therby get the #6 pick instead of the #9? Sure seemed odd given the Iggles were only down by 3.
Agreed and to answer your question, I agree with Piloto and Whisky, I think they did it on purpose. It's really strange that they wanted to get a look at a guy who has really no role in their future at QB, maybe except as a backup. Looks really fishy to me...T
With Murray getting injured, Wolford was the less sucky of the 2 backup QB's. That Arizona backup QB throwing the INT into triple Rams coverage WTF? Did not expect the Rams to win with Goff, Kupp and Henderson all out. Arizona couldn't get the run game going. Pretty exciting 2nd half of the Titans-Texans game my fantasy WR1 AJ Brown caught that 50+ yard bomb to set up the winning FG which doinked off the right upright. Meanwhile Colts players competing without knowing what was going on with the Titans game. Wonder if they knew how close they were to winning the AFC South and hosting a wildcard game?
Yup. #6 pick vs #9 is considerable assuming Iggles want to bolster O-line or get CB help or maybe another young receiver since Jeffrey and Jackson are on the declines. I was stoked when Dallas drafted CeeDee Lamb as I was confident the Iggles were eyeing him but damn if DeVonta Smith falls to #6 with Philly.
When Gatorrari made that post I was going to say something similar to what you posted, data mining gone crazy.
