While I do not think many here own both, but I am interested in opinions. My F-8 is scheduled to be built this March and I have been thinking of trading my 812 towards a Pista. Will this trade be regretted in the future?

Your touring options will be limited as neither F8 nor Pista have much luggage space - especially compared with 812

    No.

The 812 is a standard car. A regular production model.

The Pista is the best of the 488s for the street.

The F8 is again a standard car. But as your question was would you regret getting a Pista, no. Not ever.

All depends what your looking for in a car, I'd do an F8 spider and 812 or 812 gts and f8 coupe. I had a pista and I like driving my cars very regularly and just preferred the f8 over the pista.

This time last year I was In the same position as you. Had speced my F8 and and COVID struck delaying my build. There are quite a few Pistas out there to choose from - most under msrp. Have you considered cancelling your F8 order and opting for a Pista? My experience (have driven an F8) is that the two cars are worlds apart. The perfect combo in your situation is to keep the 812 and go with a Pista...my .02$

Check with your dealer and ask to see what the vehicle order status is and also request to see proof. If it is not in 10G status you can likely still cancel.

I think it would make more sense to keep the 812, and swap the F8 for a Pista. F8 and Pista are similar in many ways, but Pista will retain better value, and to me is overall a more desirable car, as it is a special version. and it doesnt have GPF.

I personally think its a better car for someone that wants to drive it regularly, more comfortable, refined, less road noise, pretty much same performance.

Pista coupe + F8 Spider makes sense if you simply prefer mid-engine Ferraris. Personally, I think an 812 + Pista (or F8) would be a better 2-car combo if it was my money.

Pista coupé and 488 Spider in stable and F8 Spider on the way. Great pair, and totally different cars.

812 GTS and a Pista coupé is also a very good combo. I think the 812 SF is a bit too aggressive if that makes sense. But the 812 GTS is a bit softer and would really compliment a Pista - as would the F8 Spider. Not sure I think a Pista and Tributo makes a ton of sense Why would one want anything but a Spider in a car as comfy as the F8:)

812GTS and F8 would be a good pairing. I think F8 is faster than Pista?

Faster than a Pista? Not even sure what to say about that.
    .
Why would you pair up one soft car with another? With a Pista you get a "toy" and then you have the sports car with GT attributes in the 812 GTS.
812 GTS and F8 Spider makes as little sense to me as a Pista and 812 GTS makes sense.

F8 is hardly soft. 1/4 mile is .30 seconds off the best Pista on Dragtimes.
And, OP asked opinions. Hence reply. Cheers.
