Just picked up my 812 today (2020 Bianco Avus over Beige), my first F-car. Normally, one of the first things I do with a new car is remove the warning stickers from the sun visors by using rubbing alcohol to loosen the adhesive. But the labels in my 812 look to be sewn on.

What's the typical approach to these warning labels? Leave them on? Pick out the thread holding them on?

    Thanks in advance...

I recall someone asking about this a while back and the suggestion was to order a replacement visor without the label on. I can’t recall which side has the label (passenger I think) but the side without a label. Hope that helps

ps welcome to F car ownership - you will love the 812, it’s a monster

Your question prompted me to remove the ugly, bright airbag warning label from the passenger side sun visor of my 812 GTS (one of those things - it didn't annoy me until you mentioned it :). I carefully unpicked the stiches and peeled off the label. All worked well and looks a lot better than before. However, there is still some glue / residue left. Can anyone recommend a way of getting this off without damaging the leather?

I am in the packaging materials business, so all I can tell you is that it depends on the kind of glue they use. It is probably an acrylic mix, so start with a soft cloth bathed in a solution of warm water and liquid soap. Do not apply too much pressure, it should dissolve with a gentle scrub. In case the glue is alcohol based, you need to apply ethyl or methyl alcohol and then quickly swipe with a wet cloth.

I haven't tied it on Ferrari's leather or stickers (yet), but in the past on other cars I've had very good luck using high-percentage rubbing alcohol. I soak a paper towel with it and hold it against the area in 15 second increments, checking after each to see if the adhesive has loosened and the sticker can be removed (or the residue wiped away with a soft and non-dyed cloth).
