Don't know what the avg. price of a "regular" 288 is, but @joe sackey shared a couple years ago the price for #47647 was $4.5m. I believe it's the one specifically gifted by Enzo along with a pre-production F40 to their F1 director, if I remember Jnr.'s description of both correctly?
Not those 2 particular cars, but there are some people who own more than one 288 GTO, yes. The price of a GTO (or any classic car) is always subject to change, up or down.

Ikonick Collection: Barry Skolnick's Collection in Miami, Florida! seems to have all the big Ferrari's except a 288. Maybe someone here with an excellent example should contact them ?
Barry / Ikonick have someone lurking on here, so you never know. You also can't always take everything you see on IG at face value.
