So now that we are entering the brunt of the winter, what are you guys doing? 100% storage mode or will take out on days w/ certain high temps? Your fair weathered guys can flip off and don't dare chime in!
I'm on the fence, this weekend was sunny, but highs in the low 30s. Obviously the grip on our performance tires are greatly compromised, below 50, so I was reluctant to take her out. Also the fear of hitting a newly created pot hole, from recent storms, has me leery as well....

Too much salt put on the roads around here so the F8 is hibernating. However I have a 992 turbo s cab coming in March that will be driven all year. That should help!

Impressive! I always put winters on my GT3’s (991.2 manual is my current winter daily :) but not so sure I’ll put winter rubber on my incoming F8. I will probably still take it out on the occasional warm/dry winter day though.

I’m in Denver so we get days in the 50s and 60s sometimes. Even when it is only in the 40s the sun is so intense that the roads dry very quickly. I know that your climate out there must be very different. I plan to get her out every 1-2 weeks as allowed. On the tender all other times and she is not being moody with me so far.

I wait for a few days after the roads are dry to let the salt blow away and then just take her out for little cruises.

When the roads are cold, she is fun to take around slow corners with CT off. That’s the most I feel good about trying right now.

Don’t forget to wash off that winter grime! Image Unavailable, Please Login

Thats awesome! I had a 991.2 GT3 (PDK) that I daily drove all last year (including on Sottozero) and it was phenomenal. Pretty fun to see the diffuser vanes cut a pattern in the snow :D

Ha - exactly - and yep, Sottozero's here as well - I've put them on several 911's, great high performance winter tire. Enjoy the 458!

100% storage in a Car Jacket bag to protect against rodents and on a battery tender; here in Michigan we struggle to get to 30 degrees during the day

I do the same w/ a classic porsche, which is at a vacation home, so rodents can be an issue due to the quietness. It's in a "car capsule".

Too much snow, salt and sand on the roads... I´ve realized that I spend most time on this forum during winter time when I miss driving my own car(s)

Where in the UK are you? I went to Dublin few years ago, i think in April. Took a day trip up to Belfast and then up to the coast, where all GOT was filmed. Toured around the castles, etc. For the week I was there, it was freakishly sunny every day and only one time did we get a few drops in Belfast, before it cleared. It was especially perfect for the coast w/ the castles and could see all the limestone cliffs and Scotland as clear as a bell! Been to England a number of times and weather always blows. lol
