I don't know, but it doesn't sound likely.
There was no business case to build a RHD 208, they only existed because of the Italian tax concessions on under 2L litre cars. It wouldn't have been cheaper than a 308 GT4, and have slightly less power.

I think they may have turbo charged them ?

 

Not the 208 GT4 , you're thinking of the later 208 GTB

 

Yeah, just checked my book , the Gt4 only had 180hp so not turboed
