Hello everyone! Ciao a tutti Ferraristi!

Since 1996 when I was just a teenager, I had a dream of owning a Ferrari (it all started when Michael Schumacher joined Scuderia for his crusade), and not just any car of this legendary brand, but front-engined V12 Super GT. First, it was about 550, then 575, 599, F12... I was in love with all of them.
I met 812 Superfast in the flesh in 2017, when I participated in Ferrari 70th Anniversary Days at the Paul Ricard race track in Southern France. As it was before with Ferrari's V12 berlinettas, it was a love from first sight.
Two years ago, I bought my first Ferrari - 2013 FF in perfect condition. After two wonderful years together, I sold to my business partner yesterday.
I did it for a reason - I'm as close to my dream as I never was earlier in my life, as there are two 812SFs available for sale nearby, and I'm about to get one of them next week.
So, here is the second part of this post. Which one to choose?

Number 1: 2090km on ODO, 2019 year of production, Rosso Dino with interior carbon (no exterior carbon), orange Hermes leather, black Alcantara.
Number 2: 6500km on ODO, 2019 year of production, Rosso Formula 1, full exterior carbon (no interior carbon), blue/red standard leather.
Prices are more or less equal, as well as options (except carbon).

I lean to Number one. What would you guys say?

P.S. Please, excuse my English. I’m far from being native speaker.

Small correction. Number 2 is 2018, not 2019, as I posted initially.

Out of those two, I'd probably take the Dino car.

Now I think both cars are not cars I would choose.

I would not want a car with Hermes leather. It might be cool and initially look great, but it is not very durable from what I have seen. More suited for a show car than a driver.

I like the red on the outside better, but the blue and red interior is not my thing. Black and orange is a better choice for me. Had the Rosso F1 car had red and black interior, that would have been an easy choice.

As for year etc. it makes no difference with those two.

I guess this is why I ordered my own to suit my taste, you can just never tell what other people will like and that's what you get to choose from when you buy used. I wouldn't buy either of them.

There are many ways to protect leather nowadays. And the car will not be daily driver, so this aspect doesn’t bother me at all. Thanks for the opinion!

The one you spec’ed for yourself is always better, no doubts. The thing is - I cannot order 812SF in my country anymore. GTS only. I don’t really like Ferrari spiders for several reasons, and the first of them is that coupes save much cleaner shape and lines.

I think that's the critical sentence IMO. If it's also a year newer, then it's a no-brainer. Good luck; this is an exam with no wrong answers!

This looks like the standard Ferrari arancia leather, which looks very similar to Hermes but it is not actually Hermes leather, and as such it is as durable as any standard Ferrari leather: which means its pretty durable in a relative sense. I’ve had a car with this leather interior for many years, 9000+ miles, no issues whatsoever.

Neither spec strikes my fancy, but, between them, I think car #1 is more cohesive and that is the one you are leaning towards so that is the one to go for. Good luck!! :)

I am aware of the fact you can't order the 812sf any longer which is a shame. However, I don't think either of those is going to be your best choice. There are likely to be more for sale later that would have nicer more desirable specs unless you happen to like either of those combinations.

I never liked Rosso Dino until now. No.1 is such a beautiful combination.

I was not talking about a daily, just a car that is actually driven. Even just once per week. Yes you can do some protection against the elements, but not against the wear of vetting in and out etc. But do as you see fit, it is your decision.

I would go with the Rosso Dino car, but as you can see I am partial to that color to begin with.

I’m going to buck the trend and go with number 2. Ironically, although an earlier opinion was that the alloys on number 1 were better, they’re the standard cast alloys vs the forged wheels on number 2.
There’s something about the blue and red contrast on number 2 which really sings. And I prefer interior carbon vs exterior carbon.

ultimately, you have to drive the car - so buy the one you like, not the one we like!

Two nice cars, if you like brave colours. Exterior colour is really important to me and how I feel about a car. The red car you wouldn’t get tired of but the Rosso Dino, even though it looks great, you could go off it. If you’re thinking of keeping it, go Rosso F1.

I agree. Both baller spec. Both amazing cars. I love red carpets and don’t like Orange but I pick the first. Not your me too car. If you keep I believe the color will age well and the spec is outstanding.

Agree with Dino wheels better but wheels can be swapped.

    No wrong answer.

    Let us know.

    #1.
LOVE the wheels, and does the world "need" another red Ferrari?

    Keep us posted.
