Very nice. These cars were before their time with aero design and handle well on the track. The Turbo Rotarys need a different procedure for maintenance but, are good racing engines. This 12a is NA tho.GLWS
Water pump has been replaced, and coolant flushed and serviced. Carbs jetted. Oil leaks addressed. Still for sale here at $6k, will likely send to BAT if it doesn't sell in a week or so.
I have literally always always wanted that car. Ever since the original need 4 speed for PC. I know that sounds really dumb but I was a kid! I'm sure you already have a line for it or will pass it on to your kids etc... But if you ever sell it I would love a chance at it. That car for me is a keeper. But secretly hoping you don't think it's a keeper so I can have it and keep it. Lol.
Its a keeper. Owned her since new. Before buying the CYM, i had owned a 300zx and before that an rx7gtu. When I bought the CYM, I knew I would never buy another sports car until I could buy my Ferrari. That was the case. The rx7 CYM is still so much fun to drive, a big head turner and now worth stupid money. Who knew?
Don't know about first gen RX-7's, but my buddy in Brisbane just sold the cleanest RX-3 in existence (restored of course). $115k AUD. In about 2 days. $115k is probably peanuts today, but that's solid money for an RX-3.
I did ride in the car when I visited Australia years back. I just love the sound these lil naturally aspirated rotary engines make. It’s soo cute . I think he’s feeling seller’s remorse. Literally sold just last week. Don’t sleep on these rotaries!
