    Why are the Roma’s rear tyres only 285’s rather than 315’s or 325’s? And the Roma’s front tyres look very skinny. I’d live to see it wearing a fatter set front and back.

    This is a legitimate issue. For the car’s weight, weight distribution and power, the tire sizes are very much undersized. They curbed it’s power in the first few gears to neuter it’s potential and minimize traction issues but it’s still noticeable, even in third. I’ll be moving to R comps and upsizing to mitigate this for the track, but in the long run may need another set of wheels that are properly backspaced to appropriately locate wider tires front and rear in the wells.

    I agree the car has less tire width than comparably powered cars. I ordered mine in October with the optional diamond cut wheels but am thinking I may want to change my spec to standard wheels to save the money and then purchase wider aftermarket wheels and tires. Does anyone know about fitment? What size tire would fit in rear wheel well? I'm sure I would need to maintain the identical wheel/tire circumference to ensure all the electronics work. .

    You do need to maintain the overall circumference within a few percent but you can change wheel diameter and width. I also got the diamond cut forged wheels because I think they fit the car much better and are lighter and stronger than the cast. That said, I will probably end up with a track set and keep those for The street and wet track days.

    The only way to get the fitment right is to have a wheel manufacturer take all the measurements from a car then build a model that fills the space and takes into account the suspension travel as well as the geometry. I’ve done this twice with Champion Motorsport and was very happy with the results. As the new wears off this model, the info will be more readily available and plenty of manufacturers will offer fitments and lots of wheel options. Just make sure you go with a quality tuv certified wheel that’s preferably cold forged.

    Thanks for the info. Sounds like your planning to track the car. I will probably do a few track days initially. Would want a full car PPF for sure, even then there will be track rash somewhere. Windscreen for sure with a lot of track time.
