    Hi guys,

I have recently purchased an OEM used rear bumper for my F430 Berlinetta, along with an original Challenge rear grill. My specialist is going to try and adjust the bumper to fit the Challenge grill, can’t wait!

However: I really, really like the Scuderia/Challenge centre exit- exhaust look and I have the chance to buy an original F430 Challenge rear muffler. Has anyone ever fitted a Scuderia or Challenge center exhaust on a ‘regular’ F430? Does it bolt right on? I know the rear bumper needs some work, but since the bumper needs some work anyway, I believe it could be worth it!

Could not find anything on the forums here, but I’m really interested in the possibilities!

    Hey Enzo,

I fitted an Agency Power Scud titanium exhaust to my F430 when I did a Scud conversion. Aside from the obvious rear bumper/rebar holes, the rest pretty much bolts on with small modification. You will need to cut the cat pipes down a little bit where they bolt to the exhaust, and buy separate exhaust clamps to that joint. I did it about 3 years ago, but to my memory, I didn't lose sleep over it once I fitted the exhaust, as I just made the cuts and clamped it up the next day. I definitely stressed out for a while prior, as I committed myself to the project and ordered all of the scud rear bumper parts prior! It worked out, and totally worth it in my opinion!

Can’t tell if its a reflection or not, but did you do euro taillights conversion (with amber center) as well?

    Hey Ken,
It's still USDM clear... I'm guessing it's the ScudingSwiss LED bulb that has some hints of yellow shining through.

For the Scud exhaust conversion, you just drill through the rebar? Not frame? Im assuming rear rebar is removable/replaceable?

You must also be the guy with the RSD front lip on Scud front bumper. More pics of your car please :).

Dude, you are so helpful, and that looks great! My god, I want to have that rear look so badly now haha. But, to understand correctly, is it only drilling in the bumper that is required or also in more structural parts of the car?

In other words: let’s say I want to sell my F430 in the future, would I easily be able to revert the whole process? Or is this in such a way invasive it’s not really reversible?

Yes, its reversible! If you buy a scud rebar, or drill your own, that's the only drilling (besides your bumper if you're using the F430 bumper). Just note that once you trim the cat pipe length shorter, you may need new cats to go back to stock F430 exhaust, or have a 1.5" length section of pipe welded back on to make up for the portion you cut off. Aside from that, everything bolted and lined up to the factory Scud bumper and mesh trim cut outs!

    Ken,
Yeah just the rebar. Or you can bolt in a scud one.

Yes!! There is so much information on his thread! I have to give credit to mwstewart and F430addict. Seeing those two take the plunge to convert is what gave me the courage to go for it as well!

Here's a few... I've since then removed the wing, since I have scud sides going on, and its the best time to fill and paint the bonnet as well.

Nice! Looks like you went all in! Kinda looks like my 355 lol. I've got a carbon RSD front lip on it. I even had the Recaro full leather Pole Positions at one point as well. Thanks for the pics!

    Hey Clean512,

They are Recaro Pole Position in black leather. I used the Planted seat brackets and Recaro sliders. Cheers!

That looks amazing! However, I'm going to pass. Don't want to drill in anything that's structural to the car.. Thanks though!

yep looks great but unfortunately the shorter you make the exit pipes with a SCUD, the worse the exhaust sounds vs a F430, just like a Speciale vs 458
