It was a flat battery. Jump started it and all OK. Wonder why the ferrari trickle charger isn't charging it

I have the same problem with my 430 without the screeching. Key used to turn off alarm. New battery on a Ctek charger. Won't start or shift gears until I connect my X-431 Torque and run a system scan.

    Then it starts!

I guess I'll have to put the X-431 in the trunk. This is a mystery. It happens more frequently after disconnecting the battery via the switch in the trunk.

I've connected an old optimate charger to it while I figure out why the factory charger isn't charging it properly.

The Ferrari "charger" is not a charger but a tender/maintainer. It is not designed to charge a dead or very low battery.
