Any recommendations on converting my existing stock radio to Bluetooth to stream music on my 08 F430 Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I use this in my cars that don't have bluetooth Works very well for the few times I use the radio May not be what you looking for but figured i share https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018E0I01I/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_zJDeGbGWFMXJP?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
If you have the iphone cable installed with the radio... just add this. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B019QR64VQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Interesting solution on the older 30pin adapter. I would think the bluetooth option depends on whether you desire to remove the deck, add something to the cig lighter port, put something behind the stock deck with mini-ISO or adapt an older iPod style connection.
I have the factory iPod interface and use a Bovee 1000. Worked great till my last iOS update, now it only works in "aux" mode where I can't control the iPod over bluetooth from the Factory radio. Prior to this I could browse my playlists, songs and stuff and pick wirelessly from the OEM radio.
I'm having a similar problem with a Pioneer AVH3500NEX head unit and IOS 14.3 after a recent upgrade. Siri will play music and and GPS directions, but follows every action with the message "There was an error". I will contact Pioneer and see if they offer a firmware upgrade to ameliorate this problem. I *hate* Apple. Ray
I can't say I hate Apple, they have indirectly paid for a lot of my toys... I just hate modern technology, things were so much easier when all I had was a Motorola Brick telephone.
Great recommendation. Just got a similar version from Amazon and it works great for iPhone audio over OEM radio. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I've tried this adapter in my 08. It does work, BUT... It will Bluetooth connect and play from your iPhone constantly over anything else. Every. Single. Time. It's relentless. It will even connect over your earbuds and autoplay anything you have on the phone, at least in my case. I even had the earbuds in a higher selection priority. It got to the point that I only connect it when I have a long trip and feel the need for music. The music quality is pretty good though.
Quite by accident, I discovered that the latest of the frequent annoying and troublesome IOS updates has had an odd effect. It now allows my iPhone 8 Plus to connect to my Pioneer AVH-3500NEX via Bluetooth. Pioneer said it would not. The installer said it would not. They installed a flash cable to allow the phone to connect to and communicate with the 3500NEX. And it did, and worked perfectly. That is until the latest update to 14.3. After that the GPS and Car Play were constantly interrupted by error messages. I was going to pony up for the latest and greatest DMH-8600NEX thinking its later firmware would ameliorate this issues and allow Bluetooth connectivity connections. But after investigation the content of the error messages, it turned out the were failed pairing attempts. When I configured the iPhone and 3600NEX to pair, they did, albeit glacially slowly. So the problem was never with the Pioneer unit, it was the iPhone 8 Plus. The pair will now play Car Play and GPS directions without interruptions caused by the pairing issues. Via Bluetooth. If you have a Pioneer unit that uses Bluetooth, update the phone to IOS 14.3, set the Pioneer to advertise its presence, and enable auto connect. Then try to pair the units. It's a slow process, but it works. Serendipity. Ray
Hi Ray, You're saying you have wireless Carplay now with your Pioneer 3500NEX flip-up screen? With bluetooth connection, you can have Carplay, is that correct? I have an iPhone 8 and I want to replace the SPH-10BT Pioneer radio with a flip-up monitor with Carplay function, but wireless Carplay would be great!
Yes, it does connect and offer car play. However, and you can experiment with this, I found that it does not work as well as it does when connected with a flash cable. It simply does not work the sameS way. For example, the gps will give verbal directions but not show the map. Siri responds to commands but Carplay does not display on the screen, although it plays the music just fine. Also, wireless, volume is controlled by the phone, not the Pioneer. I went back to using the cable and turned off auto-pair and pairing broadcasts. Ray
This plugged straight into my Becker (Ferrari 360) and I changed from the CD to Aux input. 10 minutes max, works a treat, YouTube will show you how to change from CD to Aux. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Car-Bluetooth-Module-AUX-Cable-Adapter-For-Porsche-Becker-Mexico-Traffic-Pro-DTM/224227868030?pageci=2ca04588-17ad-4a83-8ea9-d9bc031833cf Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
