Change to make a profit from a Ferrari since 2016 would be a quality problem !

Indeed, he may have good insight but is a hard guy to get on with. My desire for a smaller more nimble V12 is based on my experience of the 812 on track and the sheer size of modern Ferraris on UK roads; not that I want a Prius !
    Anyway there we are.

Take this as you will. Confirmed that US dealers have received a list from the factory of approved buyers. The list appears to have more names than available cars. Dealers can attempt to add names to the list. Could not confirm production numbers at this time but believe similar to TDF numbers for coupes.

So the dealer then chooses which of the chosen clients on the list to call first? Or does Ferrari decide the queue? For example, 18 ppl on the list but dealership will only get 7 cars in total (on average). So from the 18 names which 7 will be chosen, which one will be contacted first etc. Is this the dealers choice?

My understanding is the dealer will choose. I would imagine there are some clients (FXXK, historical collection, etc.) with a direct tie to the factory. If the dealer decided to not allocate a car to these clients the factory might override/intervene. The dealer would want to keep these “Top” clients happy so I doubt this situation would arise.

There were so many Grigio Ferro GTS launch color orders I went with something different. There was a Blue Corsa GTS being delivered at the same time as mine. It was stunning. I've always liked the color since the 488 launch. I'm just not sure if I like it as much outdoors as indoors. I think my 812 VS will be some shade of blue.

That is a very clean look for your GTS and the cherry on top of course is painted shields! Thank you for sharing that view.
One color from the blue camp is the 70 Anni livery Blu Montecarlo. Sort of the Ferrari impression of Penske Blue aka Sunoco Blue. As with Blu Corsa there seems to be quite a range of 'color' between indoors and outdoors further aggravated by different photographers.
A softer color is the Azzurro Metallizzato on the 812 GTS. Maybe too soft for a VS model...

So clients that get the call need to confirm interest in the car before seeing it? As if the dealer needs to allocate the cars they will need to know who takes it even before the car is presented right?

I hope they will at least know in advance if the cars will be limited or not. Buying blind the design is ok as I doubt they will get it wrong but buying without knowing the numbers is more difficult..

That is true. Presentation will be digital for dealers and top clients in the beginning of March.

However, many people on here were told by their dealers that the dealerships will receive an initial list from the factory at the end of January (today) with the priority client names that would qualify as well as receive insights into the allocation criteria.

there was a list of names our dealer received back in early December for a yet unnamed car. That list was received, edited, and returned to Ferrari many weeks ago

Digital presentation will be in March, not this weekend.
As for the lists, those were sent in October/November and a number of contracts signed already.

As far as I am concerned nobody said anything about this weekend...
    Nothing happening before March.

What I am saying explicitly has to do with the criteria and lists. True, lists were made by dealers in Q4 2020 but some dealers told their clients that those lists would be returned to dealers TODAY, informing them about criteria and the eligibility of some of the proposed clients.
