Anyone else using the Mod4Cars mod to allow for one touch roof opening / close via the keyfob?

I also recall that on some models, this mod allows you to open the convertible top at 15 MPH or less speeds.

Is this compatible with the Cali T? Thanks in advance.

My understanding is it will not work with the Cali T, the top will not operate unless the car is stationary because the trunk flips backward and uses the parking sensors to make sure nothing is too close to the car.

That makes sense. I will likely still install the mod so I can control the top from the key fob. Many thanks.

I own a 2013 California and only open the top when the car is stationary.

I have never tried but my manual came with a supplemental sheet noting that the top can be opened at speeds less than 9mph. 2017 Cali T

If you install this and plan to use it to open or close it remotely, make damn sure you get the best battery you can find. Being it a Braille B10049 or the new Antigravity H8 in the 80Ah variant. That roof will easily kill that rubbish stock battery in short order.
Look in your owners manual. It specifies at below what speed the roof can be operated. It is not like the Cali.
Many have that system znd I've only heard from people who like it.

My 2016 Cali T manual says the car has to be stationary. No slip sheet for being able to open while moving. Must have been a change for 2017.

Why would you want to open the roof while the car is in motion? As far as closing the roof, the only situation I can think of is in case of a sudden rainstorm. Even then, it would be safer to pull off the road and do it.

I have the Mods4Cars roof controller on my 2016 Cali T. Works great and I like it.

One push (no need to hold the switch) and it opens or closes the roof.

You can also program which windows you want up or down after the roof closes or opens.

Your car must be stationary to open or close, but after about 3 seconds of movement you can start driving off. This is a nice feature so that the cars behind you wont be honking their horn as the cars in front of you starts moving already.

The only issue I have is using the keyfob remote to open or close the roof. I am unsuccessful on this.
I have contacted the manufacturer and they told me the roof ECU on Cali T is very finicky.
They asked me take a video on how I push the buttons but I havent gotten around to it yet.

    Hope that helps.

Would you have the name/specs of the Mods4Cars module you are using? Their webpage lists solutions for the 360, 430, 458, 488 only and not for the Cali or Cali T.

I ordered mine from Vivid Racing. Below is the model number.
    I believe I paid $420.00 for it.

SmartTOP Add-On Convertible Top Controller Ferrari California 08+
    Model #: STLFAO1

    Installation is very easy.

I tried to attach the owners manual and installation manual but the file is too large so it was rejected by FChat.
You can however download it directly from Mods4Cars website.

Photos attached on before & after installation.

Same with my 2016 California T. However, I learned that after about 3 seconds of pushing the open or close button I can start driving at slow speed and the roof will continue to open / close until movement if fully finished.
