I don't know whether to commiserate as well as give thanks Martin, Delighted that you're on the road to recovery and able to teach your friends here of what's important. Andrew

Sorry to see this Martin and hope you are recovering well. It was a warning- that life is short so enjoy it (but look after your heart). Get well!

    Martin,

Welcome :) ... to the 'Club' NOBODY WANTS to Join.

    Heart Attack Survivor.

I had my first heart attack at 49 and Triple By-Pass at 50. I'm now almost 61.

My heart attack started in Kiev, Ukraine, while I was at a Mil-to-Mil Exercise Training Planning Conference in Kiev, Ukraine, and 5 DAYS LATER, I 'Tapped-Out' back home in Germany and went to the ER for a BAD Case of 'Heart Burn' that just wouldn't 'go away.' Little did I know ...

You my friend are going to go thru emotional S**T on a level you can't possibly imagine in the coming weeks/months.

And likely NONE of your circle of family or friends will be able to understand you. That is NOT a 'Slam' against them, its just a fact if you haven't 'Been There, Done That,' you ain't got a clue.

    You have my email.

USE IT AND We can Talk via phone, WhatsApp or Skype. Day or Nite. Just CALL Whenever YOU NEED/WANT To Talk.

I had a friend who died three times in an hour from heart attacks at 49 to talk to. He helped a lot. His is still alive and like me, kicking life in the ass like a horse 10+ years later.

If you want to read a REAL-LIFE HORROR STORY, search for my 'Coma' thread. What you'll read is the 'G' Rated version of the 'Triple-XXX' reality that happened to me. For 2 Straight WEEKS.

Yes, a machine keep my Happy Ass 'ALIVE' as my body was DEAD AS A DOOR NAIL for about 8+ hours during Triple By-Pass surgery at age 50.

YOU KNOW HOW to get hold of me.

    USE IT.

    USE ME.

    Your F-Car Buddy,

    Mark

Martin hasn't posted anything since starting this thread and doesn't have any recent activity showing either.

Has anyone communicated with him? Is he doing okay?

    Hello my friends,

I am deeply, emotionally touched by your sympathy. Though I haven't posted anything on FChat I am still alive :) trying to keep my humour.
I am out of the hospital back at home again, but ten different pills per day are taking its toll.

The afternoon a few hours after my second birthday on 19th January.

    Martin,

You look EXTREMELY GOOD in those photos.

I didn't look that good until 2 months AFTER my stents and close to 6+ months AFTER my triple by-pass.

Go S-L-O-W BUT CONTINUALLY PUSH Yourself a TEENY TINY BIT Every Day.

I'm available if you need anything.

Sorry Martin: I just saw this thread a minute ago for the first time, so I apologize for writing something only now. I'm very happy to see you standing upright at your home!

Yes, sometimes it happens something that makes you see better what is important and what is not: It happened me too.

    ciao

Guten Morgen, Martin! Like Alberto, I only just came across this. Glad to see you're getting better. Coming back from a cardiac event bad enough to put you into shock is some feat. Well done! As I tell my patients: some people are harder to kill than a brown dog! I'm sure your doctors have told you that you've already gotten through the tough bit. I wish you a good recovery.
