I didn't want to post the link because I didn't want to be accused of promoting a sale outside of the classifieds section. You can easily find it on eBay as Enzo Ferrari signed cheque.

    That's a cool piece....

    For sure Chinetti signed it.
After looking the Enzo sig may well have been a rubber stamp as it's a "For Deposit Only" stamp like Brenda Vernor might have used, although based on his autograph, for sure...

That's an interesting reply. Where did you get the idea that Enza/Brenda used a rubber stamp? I've not heard of this before.

Have you ever signed a payroll before?

It gets VERY boring, I can say......so a "SIgnature Stamp" has actually been legal tender in US banking for decades.
    We can certainly ask Brenda..

But in my mind's eye (ONLY ) I could see an "Endorsement Stamp" used to blast thru a stack of checks at the Factory, to expedite business while Enzo was gettong a shave and a haicut, daily.

    Strictly conjecture.
But is was the Bar logo, the SEFAC brand, and then the Ferrari sig all in one block, all in the same ink.
You might ne right the "For Deposit" endorsement was stamped, then the signature added.

My hand cramps at about 200 signatures..

For a big stack of business checks, stamping (in the US) is routine.

This wasn't a payroll cheque, and I imagine that Enzo didn't sign payroll cheques, but I'm sure he counter-signed payment cheques like this one.

I think it was l’art, l’automobile that was selling several of these as well as NART driver contracts a few years ago.

You would know more, I have to go with your view.

If I have an occasion to see Brenda I will ask, if I remember!
She only attended COTA the one time, and had a good time, but not a great time I think.

Pierro had dropped the ball on a Pit Pass.
She was pretty upset by that.

I'm sure some boxes were thrown out, with Chinetti's passing.

Absolutely not. Look at the nuances on the four samples attached. On each of them the details relating to the signatures (intersection between the lines of the "f" and "e", distance between the end of the "i" and "f", etc.) are totally different. In addition, the look of the ink impression made by a rubber stamp and the felt-tip or fountain pens that Enzo typically used are very different.

Be very careful if you frame it and then display it. The purple ink fades quickly even if not in direct sunlight. The safest thing to do is keep it in the sleeve, and keep it away from daylight.

Thanks so much for the post!

Those four examples ARE certainly very different.

My rubber stamp theory is hearby declared Null and Void...
