Hi All, Starting this thread to compile our experiences with the fabled, mythical, and stunning systems by our friend in the motherland. Starting with serial numbers and known 550 & 575 suspects, thanks for the cheat-sheet @enesset: @tazandjan: 575, catted headers, mid section connectors @DZ-96: 550, catted headers @Jon Von Bon: 550, catted headers, H pipe, rear valved mufflers, remote valve control @Dm993tt: 575 ??? @ifeelfree0: 575 ??? @tres55: 550 ??? @Qksilver: 575 Serial 138474, catted headers, H pipe, rear valved mufflers, remote valve control I think we can start with @Jon Von Bon porting over his delivery and unboxed pictures, with a chronicle of the install this winter! I'll add a few bits of content myself as well, including pictures, video, and before/after dynos from my car's previous owner. -Joe
Add me to the list. 2001 550 with race headers, no cats, OEM center muffler, Tubi competition mufflers.
How could I forget! @tazandjan: 575, catted headers, mid section connectors @DZ-96: 550, catted headers @Jon Von Bon: 550, catted headers, H pipe, rear valved mufflers, remote valve control @Dm993tt: 575 ??? @ifeelfree0: 575 ??? @tres55: 550 ??? @niftyfivefifty: 550, catless headers @Qksilver: 575 Serial 138474, catted headers, H pipe, rear valved mufflers, remote valve control
There are other 550's from my cheat sheet but they are with standard headers and I was deep digging on some of that (creepy) so thought I'd let those guys speak up if they wanted to.\ I've been doing quite a bit of "unicorn hunting"......
There is at least one more black 575m F1 in Germany and Fabio’s own 575M HGTC F1 of course! + one or two in Asia (Hong Kong?)
I will try to get an updated sound clip from the bumper tomorrow. It would be cool to hear what each one sounds like with different exhaust component combinations and Fabio’s headers.
Hey, no worries! I know I am one of the newer owners, and I did not realize how many are actually known. But it makes sense, the sound is so good that it makes people become immediately aware of it.
My friend Oliver from south Germany had this black 575 with catted headers and H pipe and Fuchs valved mufflers, but he sold the car for a McLaren 675. This car was fitted with the 2nd produced headers Fabio made. He was at my home when I installed my headers. Crazy bangs with this setup and the F1 system in Sport mode. Something that I know : I have headers production nr 09 in the 550 and nr 09 in the 599 I told Fabio, he should make a small production plate with serial nr. onto the headers. Daniel

Fabio and his brother are currently working through a schematic for me to utilize the unused dummy switch in US spec cars to control the exhaust valves. My doner switch arrived last week. Will work with one of the sticky button guys to create an icon in the spirit of an OEM design, had Ferrari offered it at the time. If anybody is interested, I’m happy to share! My 575 has F’s H pipe and mufflers. Sounds great when “open” but my wife likes it closed. S/N 135472 assembly number 53781
Below is the engineering symbol for a butterfly valve. Bit nerdy maybe? Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Since the Maranello is known as a "gentleman's Ferrari", and in the spirit of the ASR button a couple of buttons over, something like this may be in line with the outcome and Ferrari's way of thinking at the time. Image Unavailable, Please Login
