I'm looking at purchasing a Lusso in the near future. With twin 5-year olds I feel they will need booster seats so the seat belts don't sit too high. Do any of you have recommendations for boosters you have used? Did you remove the lower back cushion for it? The search function only showed threads with car seats.

    Thanks in advance.

I use 2 Diono Radian car seats in mine. Remove the rear seat bolster sections and they fit perfect. They’re a very low profile safe car seat. I have 6 total in my 3 cars. Kids love them because they afford comfort while still keeping everyone safe.

Thanks! We have these exact seats now. Perfect because they are so narrow.

Follow up question: any recommendations on a booster seat, BASE only, for slightly older kids who don’t need the back rest portion? I’m asking about a child seat base that’s narrow enough for the rear bucket seat without having to modify the chair underneath. Thanks!

Not sure on that one. The issue is the design is such it is recommended that the rear bolster be removed to utilize the latch system. When I first got my car I didn’t know otherwise and tried to put seats it without. It was an almost impossible task the the pressure on the seat would have surely ruined the leather.

I've tried our Graco and the width is too much to keep it stable given the bolster cushions. I haven't ordered anything else yet but a few on Amazon seem narrower. I just don't know how effective they are.

I’m hoping to find a booster base-only that is narrow enough for the rear bucket seat, which wouldn’t use a LATCH attachment because it’s basically just there to elevate the child so that the belt is in the right position (older child, final seat before graduating out of child seats completely).

Will do. For now my TurboBooster seat base is doing the job ok, but it’s a bit snug.

Clek Oobr fits perfect. I decided to remove the lower bolster to save getting marks on it.

The booster separates into 2 for when the belt guide isn’t needed.

From your picture it looks as if the seat cushion is gone as well. Did you remove both the bolster and the cushion?

No, the seat cushion is still on, have a microfiber towel on top of it. Just removed the bolster and ha is it in the trunk. It comes out easy, no tools.
