I'm always surprised when people will not go outside their comfort zone and try something new food-wise from time to time. Oh well, it's her birthday, so the birthday girl gets what she wants! :)

SIL isn't very adventurous........ She doesn't like our food. Brother is tired of Chinese because that's all my SIL cooks.

I have the left overs. So going to eat them for dinner.

Made myself a Pork Schnitzel this evening...

Take a thick (center) cut pork chop and butterfly.
Pound the living daylights out of it. (Double in size)
Helps if you give it a spray of cooking oil each side.
Salt & Pepper and then dust with flour.
    Into an egg bath
    [IMG]
and then into Panko bread crumbs. (I pulled out the wrong container)
Fry in a 1/4" of very hot vegetable oil about a minute.
    Flip and fry another minute.
Blot on a paper towel. Serve hot.
Enjoy with fresh lemon slices squeezed over.

    You can do this!

That's kind of what I make with pork tenderloin. Except I make a mushroom sauce to top them with..........................

Left over Chinese was o.k..................... Wasn't too hungry had a big sushi lunch at 12:30. I'm moving at the end of the month. Got a new house and was doing recon of the area this afternoon. Checked out the dog beach with Bella. Sushi restaurant near the beach.

Smash burgers, stove top style. Topped mine with pickled jalapeños and red onions, and a little sambal oelek spread.

Tonight was red beans and rice. Oh yeah, with a little fried Spam. Red beans have veggie sausage, cumin, onion flakes, garlic powder, fresh cracked black pepper, Cajun seasoning. Rinse beans thrice, add spices, simmer for about 8 hours.
