Wow, I am pretty certain the car never looked that good, even as it was driving out of the door in Maranello. Was that the original color? Just stunning. Would love to hear/see a driving video if you have one.

For sure it did not, the car is suffering from "over restoration". The Boxer was the last hand stamped/built car from the factory so the bodywork was super wavy originally. Modern leather, paint, carpet is just so much better than it was in the 70-80's.

It is also not the original color, I chose this color "Verde Germoglio" as I felt it best fit the 70's nature of the design as the car was released in 1973.

    Sorry, no driving videos...

If this forum has some no porn rules, then this video breaks every one......yes, I'd rather have a car like this than the other 4 choices.

Yes, the Ferrari world would benefit from seeing such a video. If Enzo doesn't have the means tech wise, maybe there is a local youtuber who can do the videography.

Since you are in NJ, maybe Glenn of Glenns car collection could help.

Back to the topic at hand...

I took the CS out on my personal track, in parts unknown today. After today’s 75 miles I have to say these cars are just the most raw, harmonious, connected driving experiences on Earth. I haven’t driven the other three, but can’t imagine it getting much better. It has just the right amount of useable power, sounds epic, razor sharp, and beautiful to look at. You hear every grain of sand and pebbles passing under the car. You hear the friction of the brake pads against the rotors. It immerses you in a sea of stimulation.

I just returned from a 50 mile drive this morning in the CS, mountains to Malibu coastline, back up. Sublime compared to my Speciale and Pista and TDF.

You could ride a bike on that route and it would be epic. I recall doing it in a Gemballa 993 TT

This sums sit up nicely. If everything was about drivability then I suppose all of the new cars would escalate in price over the previous model. :D

Another item to consider (and I think others have brought it up) - What will the next "generation" of car collectors desire? Will there even be interest in ICE vehicles? This could possible impact the future more than anything.

A stick just doesn’t fit the car in my opinion. I like the F1.

I think the F1 vs DTC just adds to the raw excitement. The less refined F1 system needs to be upshifted above 5k rpm to shine. And like the absence of carpet and sound deadening materials, the F1 adds to the rawness.

It takes skill to operate the F1 system and when you master it, it’s great.

I used to think the same thing until i converted my 430. The stick gives the 430 an entirely new persona. I have yet to take delivery of my scud in stick but i cant wait to see what thats like. I will add a stick cs soon.

I totally get what you’re saying and respect it.
For me, there’s something about the larger cars not fitting with a stick.
The smaller sports cars, anything prior to 1999, go with a stick IMHO. As cars ballooned in size, sticks felt out of place to me and the paddle shifters seemed to be more fitting the character of the cars. Just my opinion.

    Is an F40 bigger/smaller than a 360/430?

A manual Scud with proper exhaust setup and tune... you might actually stop buying Ferraris.

I agree with the size comment. I wldnt want my 612 in stick. Im still long an f1 430 so i have best of both worlds. The stick in the 430 shrinks the car somehow

That is a really good deal if it is a no stories car. For some reason, I have noticed that the 2014 model years are priced below the 2015's. Yes, I know that it is a model year difference, but I don't recall any significant changes between the two. Is the same thing occurring with Pista's?
