Low mileage is nice but from what I've seen on the market the cars with 20-30k miles are almost always in better condition because they've been upkept and not left to sit for 360 days a year. Not a blanket statement of course. There's cars that are stored and maintained with an open check book but they are few and far in between.

That low mile 1995 Rosso Barchetta one had a major service performed in 2019 and the ask is up there at the top range (DM if you care to know). Daverocks (not sure what his username is here) checked that car out in person 4-5 years ago and it had a laundry list of deficiencies. Some still seem apparent in photos.

Dave is StickyRx, so if anyone is interested in the car, would be best to hit up Dave and he’ll give you the scoop. Hopefully, it’s just cosmetic issues and not a car accident or something.

It all depends on the car in question as you said. My car has 38000 miles and it would be hard to find a better maintained car. The cars drive better when used regularly and are maintained accordingly.

I’m always amazed at how much stock people put into odometers (or Carfax LMAO) over meticulous records and a through ppi.

And then there are cars as mentioned above, those that come from a garage of a dozen other special cars. Maligning the owner for not driving it enough? Really? Maybe if you own one car you can rack up the miles and be proud but what about when you own a dozen of them? You can only drive a single car at a time...

150 for a spider is a pretty steep ask.

I live in GA, and forgot to use the sarcasm font. There's an entire thread on the TAVT and Montana plates in GA.

The more difficult part is reproducing the mechanics of the seat, getting exact foam sizes, and exact fabric patterns.

Would need a complete donor set then dismantle and 3D scan all components that would need to be reproduced.

It's possible but how much are people really willing to pay for a reproduction set? $10k on the high end? Would need to have 10 people committed for it to make sense and even then it's a labour of love but then again what isn't with these cars. :)

I’ve seen a few recovered and they look gross. If not re-upholstered by a highly skilled shop, forget about it. Then there’s the challenge of sourcing exact matching Connolly leather, although I believe Dave might have landed on a source.

I don’t see how these can be reproduced to a satisfactory standard unless sold for $10k a pair.

Even worse.. the steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car.

I visited the factory where the seats were assembled about 10 years ago. I have picked up many parts to produce the seats. What might be trick would be to print one particular part for reproduction. Everything else is pretty simple. There is a quality manufacturer who has offered Daytona striped/inspired conversions for stock 355 seats here on this board for about $3500. So while Im not willing to do the work because Im not willing to do the work, if anyone else might be; send me a PM.

Best upholstery job I've seen on these is on the Modificata F355. Wonder who Jeff used for the work. I wouldn't mind some of that red F40 fabric either :p.

There is a thread for this. Post pics of what you actually have in possession and we'll see what we're working with :)
